No, I was talking about the net coming off. I am listening to the game by Moorhead announcers and they made it sound like Marks pushed it off intentionally. Obviously the refs didn't think this was the case, but I was wondering if the goalie had intentionally pushed the net off, if it would be a penalty.ramhckyfan wrote:sorry...i read your email wrong...what happens when a goalie gets a penalty?? i have never seen that.
Like the later post said, if the goalie gets a minor penalty, another player serves the time. My question was about intentionally pushing the net off. Sorry if I was confusing.
Refs can give a penalty shot if the goaltender intentionally knocks the net off to stop a scoring chance. Same as a player putting his hand on the puck in the crease to stop a scoring chanceThe_Phantom_Enigma wrote:a different player who was on the ice goes into the penalty box...ramhckyfan wrote:sorry...i read your email wrong...what happens when a goalie gets a penalty?? i have never seen that.

I have seen that happen once... they were pressuring the team hard for a while, it wasn't a scramble in front or anything, but the pressure was on...the goalies stick got knocked out of his grip, so he just pushed the crossbar and knocked the net off...it was VERY easy to tell that he did it intentionally, he didnt even try to be sneaky about it..he received a 2 minute delay of game penalty..td577 wrote:No, I was talking about the net coming off.
