Flyers have to play like they did in this game against Wadena. Remember the feeling of making it to state for the first time. If they don't take anything for granted they will be just fine.

LOL The only reason they won the state tourney was because of that girl (Michell Anez) who transfered there from LITTLE FALLS!!

She had the game winner vs. Roseau and Breck
Hey SCSUHUSKYFAN15, would you honestly play for the Little Falls girls team when you actually have talent like Anez does? She gets noticed in Alexandria and the people around her make her better. Shes playing with 2 of the best forwards in the state bro.

No, I do not blame her at all, However, I do not like all the "open enrollment"/recruiting that goes on. It is bad enough in boys hockey and now it has already spread to the girls. I don't blame her, I just don't like kids being able to transfer and play wherever they want. It takes a lot of the fun of ammeter athletics away for me.

I also do not like the argument that she would not have been noticed playing for her hometown. If you are good enough, word will get out and you will get noticed.

little falls will win 5-2
alex will get about 15 shots
hemingway would have to play out of his mind.... and that would be the only way that alex could win

If Alex does get 15 shots they will score on at least five of them.

=D> LETS PARTY. Finally someone other than me mentioned the fact that if LF makes it to state they can get a top four seed. It only took a month.
There's a reason that you two are the only ones to mention it.

Goldy, you may be right, but you may be a bit premature with your assertion. Let's say in Section 7, Hibbing beats Marshall; in 8, EGF beats Warroad; and in 4, somebody beats STA. Then who will your top 4 seeds be? My point is that wait until the field is set to start picking seeds.

You are correct. With the correct combination of upsets it is possible for LF to get a top four seed. My problem is with people who are doing the exact opposite of what your point is and coming on here and saying that LF is already guaranteed a top 4 seed before they've even made it out of their section.

I believe LF will pull this one off not only by the dominating first line but the depth they have over alex, LF will not take anything for granted, if anything they still have something to prove... that they will be contenders in state this year.

1.) I wouldnt really say that LF has more depth. I'd say the 3rd line for alex is much better than that of LF. LF is very top heavy. So if they are held in check. (yes they can be) alex will win. They rely so much on that one line. They are a very good line and if they go off alex wont be able to win. Defense, niether D is very good.

2.) Guarentee alex gets more than 15 shots.

I agree, I would say Small falls clearly has much better top end players but I would give overall depth to Alex. Little Falls has horrible defense and I think Alex will be able to exploit that in this game.

Goldy, I still do not understand why you seem so certain it would take the right amount of upsets before LF (if they were to win) would get a top 4 seed. 1A, 2A and 3A's #1 seeds would not get a seed ahead of LF. Along with that, Cathedral would not automatically be placed in front of LF. Remember, the seeding is done by the 8 coaches to make it and I would think the coaches would give the Flyers a little love for their 4th trip and a 15 + game winning streak. I say 1 upset of a non 1-3 section and LF earns a top 4 seed and wins their first game at the X.

I agree on the 2nd point but not the first. Here are little falls second and third line players Nelson who is a crack shot, Zack Laird who is a physical player and can put the puck in the net, Chris Sylvester the most underrated, very fast with an excellent shot and moves, Andrew Lange big physical kid with a good slapper, Jordan Gosiak another physical player sometimes plays Defensemen too, and Riley Hirsch average player needs to stop trying to play like his cousin cause his isn't as talented.

Are they going to try something different this game cuz they weren't able to exploit that terrible "d" in the first two games.

Just as far as upsets go an interesting tidbit about the section playoffs this year. Going into saturday there had only been 2 upsets in Class A. One was a 9 beating an 8 and the other was a 10 over a 7.

And as far as this one goes...He did not make one difficult save. Hemmingway is a very good goalie, but he saw every shot that came his way against FF. No traffic, no tips and even the 2 goals he let in weren't terribly tough.
