Cyclones AAA hockey

Similar to the Magicians, this program is relatively new - I think last year was their first year - does anyone know anything about this program?

Not sure if they keep their website up-to-date because the number of teams looks weird.

1. How many teams
2. What age level are they participating
3. What tournaments
4. Other

I would call but they don't give a number -

PS: and No, neither I or my son are interested in what they have to offer - I have a different reason for trying to learn more about their program.

This was started by 2 parents from Bernies 96 Machine Team. This year they are expanding teams I don't know by how many... I do know they will have a 96 and 97 boys level for sure.

Practices will be 2+ hours long w/ 20+ hours of dryland sprinkled in. In the end about 110 hours of ice and 2-3 tourneys.

The coaches will be running practices like the Machine, same drills, same tempo, same discipline. Allot of stick handling and edge work, few systems. It will be a very good program if you can get in it!

94, 96, 97 and U10 development, so the website is correct I believe. Had only a 96 last year. mostly north side of the twin cities kids they will be based out of the superrink this summer. Some of last year's 96's were 97s that will be forming the nucleus of the 97 team. more about development of the individual skills than about tournaments and travel. A very classy group of coaches who have a high percentage of returning players. I think they give a good rundown of the team and it's philosophy on the website.

How does that work, the Cyclones and the Miracle both using HB training center, are they somehow tied together?

On the Miracle post it said that it was a non-profit program, is that the same for the Cyclones then too?

Anyone can use the Herb Brooks Training Center.
Our Association buys sessions for all our players...

These 2 AAA programs are not related.

Outstanding program! They have taken the best of the Machine and improved upon the model. Give them some time to create a name for themselves where they can draw top talent like the Machine / Blades, etc... and they will be right there with those programs, maybe even better.

Previous post is correct. Same Bernie disciplne however you won't find any humiliated 11 year-old kids crying for going offsides...

I love the idea of a Women's Development program. I may have to find the time to skate more, I'd love to be a part of that, although I am sure they are not looking for first timers. I could start at a D league and work my way up at the super rink...I bet they'll all be in great shape. I know I have skates in this house somewhere.....
