We had our first skate last night on the pond. There was about 5 inches of ice. The kids had that Christmas morning look on their faces.

Skating indoors is fun, but outdoor ice is where the real joy is. Here's hoping for a real long Minnesota winter.

It was a real treat last night. Skating outside and watching the lunar eclipse. Pretty cool.
