taking names, dwatcher is from the Austin boys team, look at his posts. That boys team really knows what it takes to win.

Nice post you have about lessons you have learned. Don't talk it if you can't walk it. We are ready to walk.

Faribault is the greatest.

falcons i used to respect you as a person. Now you never stop bragging. To the point where you have two posts in a row about how great you are. Not even replies. You can come back to the post about how i suck or about how your team is better or about how i can't take the jokes and mean bragging comments, or how i need to grow up and take it. I don't care. Just know that everyone on here thinks that you are elementry and rude. It has gone past intellegent playful banter and just turned into your 'show'. It gets old. Grow up...

FALCON YOU ARE SO SMART!
You have said all year "state goes through AL", you are so smart.

well, now two teams have 'gone through' AL and only one of them are going to state.

the way you have hyped AL all year I think you must have a secret connection there.

how about it fal coon?

It wasn't dwatcher that wrote about lessons learned, I did. I have "walked the walk" many times over, losing big games and smiling while talking to the winners and winning and smiling while talking to the losing team. If Faribault makes the trip to state, great for those young ladies. It will be another life lesson they will embody. Losing squad will have a tough pill to swallow, but also a great life lesson. Parents of these kids should be proud of what has transpired to this point, you however turn to a very ugly side of sports.

Taking names talked a lot of trash. Now she must eat it. Jack read the locked down thread. Preach to your team first.

My team is full of high school girls. They are full of drama and our team has suffered from it. I should have to 'preach to my team' but not to you. You are old enough to know how to act. Some of them are not. I know that my team has said stupid things on here and it got really cocky. They are teenagers as am i. Some of us know how so be modest and some don't. You are a middle aged man who is supposed to be setting an example for his daughter. Don't blame or pin your actions on other people. Don't pull the 'well they did it too line'. be accountable for your actions.

Austin and Faribault - I wish both teams good luck on Saturday. I know a few girls on each team and hope that the play hard and leave all on the ice. If you give it everything you have you can be proud regardless of who wins or loses.

christmaseve21, my hats off to you! A very classy note and you should be proud of yourself for doing the best that you can in this sport. Your not any relative of mine but I am proud of you just by what I've read from you. Maybe next year is your year, but regardless you've shown alot of class this year....What a change from reading the other crap written by donuthead...and I think we all know who that is.. by the way taking names- you are right, this is it. put it all out there on the ice, there are no second chances now!!! Good luck Packers, you've been a fun team to watch. Now show them what your made of, talent, heart and school pride...

But I know which one of those girls has your heart...she is were she is because of the great coach she had last year that pushed her to be a greater player and for her love of the game. I hope they win tomorrow and after that it is all gravy baby...just to have her get on the ice will be worth every dollar spent and every mile driven. Faribault was a tough team and the ref's sucked..but I have all the faith in the world that we can take them...GO PACK!!!!

Austin 7
Faribault 1

A promise is a promise. I expect a bird free zone. Let us return this thread to what it should be.

First of all, congrats to all section 1A teams. All the teams competed and gave it their all.

I salute the AL girls, and the support they gave us at the game. With our I90 rivalry, that took a lot of courage. I have always enjoyed working with you girls. I was impressed with the sportsmanship you all showed after every game you played this year.

I salute the Faribault team. They were a worthy competitor. The score really does not indicate the closeness of the game. I saw a very classy thing at the end of the game. As Austin was recieving their medals, Faribault's #11 gave Austin's #12 a hug. Erin you obviously attended the same school of sportsmanship that JackStraw and I attended. That showed class. You girls should hold your heads high, that was a clean hard fought game, and at the end, both teams were still friends.

My Austin girls. WOW. Nobody gave you a chance this year. Read the history of these threads, and at best you were picked as a 5 seed. Overachievement is an understatement. You lost 8 quality seniors and still accomplished this. You became a tight family with an age range from 7th graders to seniors. Impressive.
However, I am most proud of the way you handled yourselves this year. We talked about not talking trash, not talking on the internet, but do your talking on the ice. Today you have spoken and section 1A has heard you.

Congrats and enjoy the moment. You will be an underdog this week, but you should be used to it by now. :D

Live life, love life, and laugh at youself. If you can't laugh at yourself laugh at you dad. Taylor is laughing again.

At state

They play Marshall, I believe, and should win handily. Then, it'll be Breck, who beat Blake to go to state. (Yikes.)

I wouldn't say that Austin will win handily. In my opinion, the two teams are evenly matched. The winner, however, might get taught a lesson or two by breck haha.

Jet...I couldn't have said it better myself...as the mom to one of those 7th graders I have been in awe at how those older girls took the 2 little's one under there wings and stepped up to make sure they got a ride to practice when I couldn't get her, which was quite a bit since I work in Rochester...not only have they been young women for those 2 to look up to in the sport of hockey they have also been role models that are second to none...I take my hat off to them and they will never know what their kindness and all around sportsmanship have done for her and I. We couldn't have done it without them!!!! I hope that when they are older they will look back at the 2007-2008 season and remember what it was like to be the new one on the team and do the same as those wonderful girls have done for us.

Do we really want to bring the dance team into this....I think not. I Play for Faribault and it was a great game. Good luck to Austin at state. Also, I think that you should not judge Faribault as to what one guy has said on this forum either. Hats of to a great season to everyone in the Big 9, and section one, It was a great fun year yet again!!!
