Kayla Guck, the goalie for LPGE did a great job of keeping the score as low as it was - she had a total of 51 shots on her.

this year, yes, but in recent years, there have been many very good hibbing teams, and hibbing players, to come out of that section..

Hibbing is going to be in some Serious Trouble once Kaye Collier Graduates, They are Losing Fenstermacher (sp?) this year which will hurt, they have a few other people on that team that can score like Hailee Wilkerson, Maddy Wheelecor and Amber Toole but i just dont see anybody other than those 4 (Wilkerson,Wheelecor,Toole and Collier) being able to carry this team next year.

Hopkins 4
North-metro 2

Officiating was unacceptable for a game at this level. All flow to the game was destroyed. Goalie for North-metro made many great saves to keep her team in the game.

Oilers8,
can you elaborate on why you think the officiating was unaccetable?? Did the refs call too many penalties, and not let the girls play?

Yes, there were 9 penalties against Hopkins and 5 against North-metro. It seemed that the more aggressive stronger girl got the penalty regardless of what happened. How do you get an interference penalty when you are carrying the puck? There were also up to 6 stops in the play due to a foot in the crease when a play wasn't even happening. :-k
