Hibbing 5
Virginia 1

Hibbing scores three goals late in the third to pull away.
This was perhaps the ugliest hockey game I've seen in quite some time.

embarressing
W     WWWW! Park Rapids may not even be a top 4 team in 8A even if they go 23-2 (if they don't get upset again).
Who says this is an upset?

Mankato West 4
Century 2

Century outshot West 38-28, 4 of the 6 goals were on the powerplay. 1 bad Century defensive lapse led to a goal and dumb penalties by both teams led to some goals. T. Bruggeman played very well for West if he didn't play so well the game would have gone the other way.

AV-6
Chaska-3

Goals for AV
Weber 2
Flippio 1
Fischer 1
Lynch 1
Ekenberg 1

Dont know who scored for Chaska, but why wasnt Brad Hand playing? Also Chaska switched goalies at halfway point of the game so both senior goalies could play.

7-0 after first period,
maybe kennedy can beat eastview?
otherwise its 0-25.
Really too bad. The kids I'm sure have worked hard and they are just overmatched in so many of these blowouts. I remember seeing some closer scores earlier in the season that made me think they would pop a W.

No chance with Eastview. They are really good.

Sad thing about Section 2AA for Kennedy is that it doesn't have 9 teams so they will face Edina after that. Mercifully the season ends there. Too bad they don't get the prized 8/9 play-in game because I'd bet a lot of money they would win that. They have to be the best team to go winless. I bet they'd fare well with some of the schedules I've seen. (Example? Park Rapids was undefeated for a long time and just lost to Little Falls or something. These towns have ice rinks?
Be kind. Rewind.
