buzzer
sure seemed to me that the buzzer had sounded before he even
swiped at it, but it also surely doesn't matter...

If a horn sounds in the woods and there is no official to signal it, does Sunday start a new week?
The tough part to figure out is does it count as a D6 goal if the horn was still sounding in a D1 arena?? (I thought it was in, myself - horn or not.)
I certainly don't want to be bulletin board material, but I don't think AV beats both Hornet teams. Plenty of strange things happen in the playoffs, but I look for Green to win it's game and meet EP Black in the double elim round.
The question will be which D6 team will be the LEAST inconsistent during that week . . . answer? . . .The winner, that's who(m).

Good luck to all and to all a good luck, but I'm still pulling for the Hawks even though I don't have a horse in the race or a boxer in the ringEagleGuy91 wrote:If a horn sounds in the woods and there is no official to signal it, does Sunday start a new week? The tough part to figure out is does it count as a D6 goal if the horn was still sounding in a D1 arena?? 8:10 am game , Refs came out late, started at 8:25 because they couldn't get pin in post.
Pretty even game although Moorhead outplayed WB O in the 3rd.

Re: fargo
They are not a b1 team, they have 2 "equal" b teams. They just got back into town today. From what I hear they beat Elk River 3-1 (Had only 8 guys playing) they lost to Chaska 2-1, they lost to Edina Green 4-1 (Edina had an empty netter. Fargo outshot them something like 39-22. I heard Edina has a GREAT goaltender!!) and then they beat Apple Valley today 5-3.noConsistancy wrote:has anyone heard the scores - seen the action of the fargo

D6 Tourney
Ok, how does it work in D6? If three teams go to to State, it sems like you can clearly id 2 but how is the third picked? Can anyone offer insight here?
Re: D6 Tourney
Both teams that reach loser bracket semi-final go through. Winner goes to championship game and loser is the third seed.sonofblueblood wrote:Ok, how does it work in D6? If three teams go to to State, it sems like you can clearly id 2 but how is the third picked? Can anyone offer insight here?
D6 teams to regions
D6 uses a standard double elim format where the top three teams are clearly identified. There is no debate, the top 3 advance.
Where it gets very cloudy is region play, where pool play format will again be used. Pool play is a great format for meaningless early season weekend tournaments, but it is a lousy format to use to send teams to a state tournament. Last year there were teams that tied in at least 3 regions with 2-1 records. Head to head competition could not be used, because there were three-way ties. So, the ugly goal differential rule had to be used, and in some cases the goal differtial between teams was one goal. Not a great way to end your season.
