While I agree that Hibbing has picked up their play of late(coinciding with the return of Drew Vechell)they will run into a hungrier Rapids team than they did the last time. The Indians didn't go to Hibbing ready to play, and the result was an embarassing loss. They won't make the same mistake twice and will step up and stay focused. Still calling this one in GR's favor by at least a two goal margin. Hibbing will be a force in the 7A playoffs, but they'll be dealing with a 7AA contender that's hungry heading down the stretch run. Too much pride on the side of the orange and black to fall at home to the Jackets.

Well folks, it looks like the same thing as the "I-Falls @ Hibbing" thread here: no care for the Jackets?...
...Are we forgetting what Hibbing does during crunch time? They win big games. I'm not predicting a Hibbing win, just warning all the naysayers that the Jackets have began their campaign towards the section final, with the Thunderhawks acting as a good test before the three big section games to finsh out the regular season.

Skrbec scored on the PP tonight, but 1 for 6 not much better.boblee wrote:The most alarming thing that came out of the 9-1 drubbing of Eveleth was that Grand Rapids only managed to be 1-for-8 on the power play. I am sure they will work on that tonight and Satruday and shore it up. I think Grand Rapids will win this game. However, if the power play doesn't improve, it may be an IRC title for Hibbing and/or I'Falls.

Good game for GR. From about midway through the first and all through the 2nd Rapids carried play and took it to Hibbing. The third was back and forth and GR played a bit sloppy, but got the job done. Skrbec stepped up and played outstanding, 3 of 6 D played well, and the rest of the squad chipped in when needed. Still need to find some answers on the PP, hopefully that'll come soon. On to Falls Friday night. Should be a good one with the IRC on the line.

This is true...but not all of the line was suspended to my knowledge....?GR3343 wrote:For the record, I did hear from a Hibbing parent that Hibbing's 2nd line was suspended for a type of myspace or facebook incident.
But some pictures were leaked out by a student to the school and actions were taken place for picture with alcohol(in red cups, liquid could not be seen in some pics)... 1 pic = 2 weeks off of sports i beleive.
