I wouldn't call it "practicing" so much as I would call it "suffering through".

You fellas will be thrilled to know that I'm the grateful winner of NFL Tour for my PS3, as well as a "I Know More Worthless Crap Than You" t-shirt, courtesy of EA GameShow.

I'm more excited about the t-shirt than I am about the $60 game. You'll find me wearing it with pride as I sit atop the mountain after the High School Pick 'Em wraps up.

Congrats, man! I really want those football slippers! An Ipod Nano wouldn't be too shabby, either. Good luck in your tourney this week. Basketball is actually one of my strengths. Too bad I couldn't be there to help you out!... :D

That sounds odd. I haven't heard of anybody having that issue. Here's your best bet to get some help: Go to the GameShow "Tech Talk" forum, and post your issue there. The developers are actually pretty good about talking you through a problem, or if there's a legitimate issue, finding a fix and getting back to you.

I hope you get it sorted out... It would be nice to have another Minnhocker there to kick around!

For anybody that was interested in playing GameShow but either couldn't or wouldn't play because of the computer resources required, next week, they're launching an upgrade that should address some of those issues. From their website:

"Other big improvements include a technology change. We've gone to a different renderer which will not only make the game look sharper and crisper, but will also allow it to be run on much more low-end PCs. We've had some concerns about just how much horsepower it took to run GameShow, so we we've addressed those with a version that is lighter and faster."

I'll be curious to see how much difference there is, but theoneandonly and schwang will tell you, this game is pure gold. Make it work if you can.

Not yet. I'm looking forward to it though, because the clock on my end is running way slow tonight and it's killing me.. I need the smaller version!

Glad to hear it's not just me. I shut it down for a few minutes and came back on, then it was better.
