Just a few thoughts....:
Little Falls is the team to beat and should be by 3 straight titles anyway. The thing about Little Falls that worries me (once they get to state , no not my prediction for this year), they get beat not because they obviously aren't good enough, but because all they do is run over teams in the regular season. Now you will say that "yeah, that's why they should do good at state", but, when a good solid team plays them they WILL learn that line #1 needs to get taken care of. They WILL learn (and for anyone else who might play the Flyers this year) that they just plain have to respect the quickness of the first line, especially on the Flyer penalty kill. They do that and it will equalize all of them breakaway goals. The point: Little Falls gets to state, cannot just let the #1 line run them to victory and they lose........
Fergus Falls has beaten St. Cloud Apollo twice this year by identicle scores only the last one in overtime. Fergus entered the 3rd period of the last game up 4-0 , won 5-4 in OT. I didn't see this game, I saw the first one, Fergus did control play and the Fergus goalie was not having his night. The Fergus goaltending was not steady. The Otters have since given goalie Loftquist more of a chance (he hardly played the first part of the season. If only they figure out more consistency and how to finish they may have a chance.....
Alexandria is very up and down this year and needs more consistency to do anything, they played Fergus to a 3-4 loss in round #1....
St. Cloud Apollo has a great goalie, something that is handy in the playoffs.
Cody Peck had a heck of a Football season this year as well as leading the Otter pucksters.......if not hockey, look for him on the field after HS....I know he does have size that he does use and he does have the speed and moves to burn you, not a very common mix....

the fergus falls vs apollo game was actually 4-2 going into the 3rd.

apollo got 2 late in the 2nd and fergus just seemed flat in the 3rd but responded in OT

Being that the game is at the mac it gives a little home ice for apollo, may make it a little tougher for the flyers

Apollo will have to get a W against Sartell on Thursday for a chance at that 4 seed. I think they've got a good shot at coming away from this week with two more wins.

Yeah since Little Falls already beat Apollo on their home ice 7-1

Its really gonna be that much tougher running time once again brucey if they would even make it out of the first round. I'll go with Sartell on thursday over Apollo as long as #15 dekes out the other teams goalie

I dont think fergus will get the 2 spot over alex, the first game was due to very poor officiating and fergus had like 8 or 9 power plays. so i would give alex the two spot and sartell or apollo can go either way other than that it looks pretty good

I don't think the confidence of the fans will win Little Falls any games. The cockiness of the fans just gives the other team a little more reason to want to kick LFs rear.

It's the players and the coaches that should exude confidence. And players and coaches don't do that by coming on a message board.

What does a fan need to be confident for? Are you confident that you can cheer better than the other team's fans? Or are you JV kids that have confidence that one day you may play varsity?

Easy Georgie, everyone knows that the Flyers are cool beans. You have to admit that you would be very surprised to see any team other than them skating on the X's surface from Section 6A. Don't be a tool and give props where they're due.

I give props to the Little Falls team. Right now, I'll give them my third favorite team in the state ranking in the George Blanda Rankings of Favorite teams. I just think that some of their fans are morons. I went to a game when LF played Lourdes and I didn't stop hearing any bitching for two hours. One group even had to talk to the Little Falls cops about how moronic they were being. It seems like it's those same fans that are always on this message board thinking they mean something to the team.
