1 problem the way rapids plays they dont deserve the 3 spot.
PASTRAPIDSFAN, or should I say current Rapids hater? You've been nothing but negative concerning GR lately. What's the deal? If you were at the game today, and you know anything about hockey, you would have seen a game that GR clearly controlled everywhere except the scoreboard. They made a few mistakes along the way, as all teams do, but overall played very well. Today was one of those days where the puck just wouldn't go in, and the Anoka goaltender played very well. Anyone who reads this, don't let anyone tell you that Anoka played a great game and dominated GR. It just didn't happen. I would be comfortable to see Rapids meet that team again in the playoffs. PASTFAN, get off Rapids back, those kids are playing tough.

Another thing. No one out there can tell me that Anoka dominated or played a great game. GR was all over them, especially in the 2nd where they outshot them 14-1. Overall, the shots were 35-16. Anoka scores two garbage goals. Screen through traffic, weak shot, weak upper corner goal from way out that Underwood simply misplayed. As for the Anoka "big three" GR consistently had better players than those guys on the ice at all times.

There were a few times that i couldn't beleive that the puck just didnt find its way into the net for GR!

>One problem for tonights game was the refing..it could have been a little better.

But rapids seemed to play VERY well in the 2nd/3rd periods, i was shocked they didnt pull off a win here.

Well for the record ive been a die hard fan longer than most and know more about hockey than most sitting in those stands.I was at the game and what i saw was horrible, they have no discipline, cant make passes, best gut shooting team ive seen,Anoka controlled 90 percent of the game, we were chasing themthey had us running in circles,we did have a few shots but none that were quality.we couldnt even control there top 3 players9,19,29.They also controlled our powerplays.I will give credit to underwood this game could have been worse.I will not get off there back till i see improvement. So GR3343 you must have been in the other rink watching a diffent game.

from my vantage point up at the glass, one thing that I did notice was that GR seemed a little bunched up at times. Other then that they just couldn't put the puck in the net. Rapids had alot of opportunities in the 2nd. and 3rd but just couldn't capitalize on the chances.
As for meeting Anoka in the playoffs, that would be great!!! I believe Rapids will bounce back from this.

All in all it was a flat game to watch, but I believe Rapids should of won this game.

I dont think we were watchin the same game, for one anoka did not have overall control of thee puck 90% of the time, it was more a 60/40.

If we would have controlled 40% we would have scored.I will correct and say they controlled the major part of the game we did have a few good flurries, but we couldnt put it home.We need to shoot more.QUALITY

PastRapids fan I'm not sure what game you were watching -probably the same game that referee Tok was watching and it wasn't the GR/Anoka game.
As usual when Tok is on the ice GR has an additional opponent to contend with.
The other official Lagergren is an excellent official and did a good job.

B.Tok, a Greenway diehard, should not be allowed to officiate any GR games.
GR dominated the offensive play 75% to 25% in this game. They had many, many good scoring opportunities.
The Anoka goalie was the difference in this game.

I agree Tok is horrible but 75/25    Rapids has lost steam since earlier in the year and needs to turn the heat on soon.

Couldn't agree with you more! rapids needs to get it together really soon. I believe they will, just hope it is not to late. On a side note. Anoka is a really good Hockey team. It should be an interesting 7AA Playoffs.

GR3343, gotta agree with pastrapidsfan....I said a couple weeks ago it was do or die time and you thought not so quick.... How bout now? Will you give me it today? Really, no kidding, it is do or die time. Anoka came here to win and did just that. Unfortunately, yes Anoka did control most aspects of the game. Maybe not dominate, but certainly had control. Rapids was close on several chances and, looked better than we have seen as of late which is good.

It takes more than ZERO goals to win.

The boys are playing good. Just not good enough. Its emotional for all of us to watch.

Its 3, maybe 4 seed folks.

I think other then the loss to Flake you can't argue Rapids getting anything lower then a 3 seed. I think it will be #1 Anoka, #2 East (not sure if they deserve it or not)? and #3 to Rapids due to the tie and win over Cloquet.

You really can't be serious as a Rapids fan saying the reffing could have been better

After Anoka converted on both their 1st period powerplay opportunities...the refs called 8 or 9 penalites on Anoka to 1 or 2 calls against GR...(with one on each being coincidental) and the other call being halfway through a GR power-play...clearly some of the calls against Anoka were very marginal...GR couldn't have got better reffing today at the IRA...unless the normal standard at the IRA is to only call penalties on the road team. :P

I Haven't seen alot of Rapids games latetly, but I do know that from past experiences when Tok is reffing he shows himself off. Today I don't think that happend for the most part. Hell, at times Rapids was better off not being on the power play. I did notice Anoka being a little chippy, I know that Bruce will adjust his players for the possible re-match come late Feb.

Any word on Palkki.

He took a cheap shot along the boards late in the first period and never returned.

The power play was off today with Palkki sidelined with an injury.

His head hit the boards pretty hard on a blindside check.
He was down for a few seconds before getting up.
I fear he had another concussion. If so that's bad news for GR.

I was at the game and thought it was possibly the worst reffed game i have ever seen in my entire life TOK was a complete joke Grant Prokop broke his stick and he went to toss it in the bench and a part of the stick landed away from the box and TOK made a rapids player leave the nech to pick it up while he stood right over the stick. He could not have been a bigger prick.
