PR will end up losing two games this season. The first will be tomorrow night against and up and coming, young Prowler team. The second to a Crookston Pirate team. I feel like I am experiencing deja vu. It seems to me there was a Detroit Lakes team in a similar situation the past couple of years with one great line and a fan base that was extremely confident. Study up Sioux because as the famous quote goes "those who ignore history are condemned to repeat it" I hate to be the bearer of bad news but PR is not that good!
I really don't know, having seen TRF but once, early on.
Having spoke with some TRF people though, I know they are playing well.
If they can control Lehrke, and they have good D and a very good goalie, I would say TRF by 4.
If they struggle with Lehrke I would asy TRF by 1 or 2.
So % PR's chances are probably less than 25%, about 4 to 1.
About 50-50 that I will be at the game.
I agree with waht you say for the most part Elliot, but PR has more firepower up fron than just Lehrke. The other two forwards on his line ared hardworking, as you mentioned earlier or in another post, and are very capable of scoring if TRF turns too much attention to Lehrke. PR's second line with Knapp has been producing all year for them, which didn't happen much at all last year. The defensemen played very well in the d-zone against LOW and EGF earlier this year.
I'd say TRF has the edge in depth and team defense, Park has more fire power, I know TRF's goalie in good but young, so without seeing him i'd say even in the nets. It should be a great game and the team that shows up first and play more consitantly all game will win.
And i really hope the chances of you being there Elliot are better than 50-50

I think it will be an exciting game. I hope (either win or lose for PR) it inspires the younger players and hoepfully attracts additional players/fans to PR hockey.
I might have to take care of some personal things, but my fingers are crossed. Should know before 5 today.

So elliott70, are you going to be at the game, coffee in hand, behind the glass near (which) goal?
mohunk wrote:I might have to take care of some personal things, but my fingers are crossed. Should know before 5 today.elliott70 wrote:

Ninety five percent chance I will be there.
Near-end side to the right of the goal (towards players box). May spend some time talking with TRF people, Audettes and others or with PR's Knapps or Winklers.

As much as I like Mr. Shanty and (Yes: It Can Happen) there is about a 5% chance Crx will beat PR...

And everyone knows how old I am and she is older than me.
(Angus, just believe me, don't try and figure it out.)

But things are better this evening, so I am thinking its about 95% that I will be there.

There is always a chance.. but Warroad would have to drop the rest of the season which is highly unlikely. If Warroad lost to EGF, Denfield, Bemidji and Lake of the Woods then that might open up an eye or 2...SB24 wrote:Not a chance....what would losing to the one of the best teams in the state that is in another section, that PR wouldn't dream of scheduling have to do with the 8A rankings? PR could get the 2 seed, not a chance at 1.
yes that is a very very long shot but a shot nonetheless... PR should be happy with the #2 seed and hopefully can take advantage of it...
