First thing I have to say is I have seen Edina play and yes they are a team to reckon with. M Everson is a real good player and no one is arguing this.
My team over the years has throttled their opponents in the Missota and it appears to look like they never let up, but why was Everson playing so late in the third perod? He already had three goals and two assists but still is on the ice under one minute and scores un-assisted. Coach Giles there is a time to keep your best players on the bench.....the game was at hand. I have taken a lot of crap about Trebil and his coaching. I looked at the box score for last night when AHA beat Farmington 7 -0 and saw the last line to score was their number one line in the last minute, thinking I would need to eat my words. But then I looked closer and saw that that was the second period. AHA only had three shots in the third and I bet the first line was not out there for much.
There is a time to ease up a bit, let those players rest, why take a chance on injury? That is all I am asking.....

Did you just compare Edina's schedule to a run through the Missota for Holy Angels? Oh my. I think Edina played Cretin-Derham Hall. Didn't they win a state title recently?
Also, Coach Giles does not have a roster of 20, he has a roster of 17. What did you want him to do, put out the 4th liners?
It is unfortunate Cretin couldn't put up a fight last night. I'm surprised to hear someone that thinks the Hornets were leaving their top line out too much as if the score was being run up intentionally.
Edina's schedule doesn't have any softies. Their worst opponents are still average teams. Hopefully Coach Giles reads this and can leave the Taft line out for the whole 3rd (heaven forbid he play his highly-recruited juniors and seniors) so they get tired and they can blow Cash Money's shutout.
I've looked at some scores this year and can see how many points some guys rack up in blowouts. Edina doesn't exactly play pansies like Hill-Murray and Roseau get to. Maybe a couple, but no more. Hill scores 10 goals a few times and you're worried about taking it easy on a program like CDH?
Things that make you go hmmmmmm
Be kind. Rewind.
