Post by pondyplayer93 »

North :

Red Division -
D10 #1
D11 #2
D11 #3
D12 #2

Blue Division -
D10 #2
D11 #1
D12 #1
D12 #2

West:

Red Division -
D5 #1
D15 #2
D15 #3
D16 #2

Blue Division -
D5 #2
D15 #1
D16 #1
D16 #3

East:

Red Division -
D2 #1
D2 #3
D3 #2
D8 #2

Blue Division -
D2 #2
D3 #1
D3 #3
D8 #1

South:

Red Division -
D1 #2
D4 #1
D6 #2
D6 #3

Blue Division -
D1 #1
D1 #3
D4 #2
D6 #1

And each region gets two teams to state

Red #1 vs. Blue #2
Blue #1 vs. Red #1

with winners to state

I like the old metro way better with, a way to get in even after you loose a game. This way you could win all three in pool play and loose and be done.

I do like the new grouping, it mixes it up a bit. And makes sure that the old southwest region doesn't send some slack team to the show.

Is district 8 and 4 combined. Looking at mnhockeyrankings.com shows district 4 is broken up into north, south, and central and would include all of district 4 and 8???????

That happened to both teams last year in the north division, went 3-0 and lost on Sunday so didn't make it. The teams that went had the same record as the teams that didn't. Should be a final game or something.

Only for regular season league play. All teams return to their MH district for playoffs. I understand that all regional births for D4 and D8 come from the playoffs (i.e. no automatic birth for winning the league regular season).
