tell me if this is fair..
a good player plays for a very small school that has no hockey tradition and on top of that is in Class A. so no matter what he does he gets very little recognition. and by his junior year he is fed up with losing but doesnt wanna go play juniors his senior year, can anyone tell me why he cannot transfer to better team rather than miss his whole senior year becuase of greed by schools he doesnt play against anyways, is it not every players dream to win state? who are these people to say he cannot follow that dream?

So the answer is....
The transfer student would have to sit out for 1 year, but the child can play on the JV squad for the new school at the start of the year. He can not go back to his hometown school without acquiring a penalty.

Correct?

Who? MSHSL
Why? People have been complaining for years that they don't want kids to move around, because it creates powerhouse programs.

Nate Schmidt just committed to the U of M as a sophomore, from an A program in central MN. Don't go there that they can't get any recognition.

Thanks CNT!!

The question from the start is if you go from Private back to Public (Hometown) School.

Would there be a penalty? (The parents address would NOT change.)

So they way I read it... JV would be the only option? Correct?
