Now that the tourneys are over. It looks like the top goalie in 1A could be Sam Stark of Northfield. Could KH handle the Nova heat. Looks like she really struggled in the skill night in Austin. New sherriff in 1A?

You're right there!! Strength of schedule proves KH is better than SS. She just gets to pad her stats against teams like Roseville, New Prague, Prior Lake, Hutchinson, Holy Angels, Shakopee and Farmington.
Why don't we get to play teams like that? We're stuck with Waseca and Faribault...

And why does this matter? Does it make you feel better about yourself and your team's chances by trying to get under the skin of a 17 year old? Please enlighten me.

Me, get under KH's skin? I think your team and parents are doing a good enough job of that.  Relax, you are the clear favorite, enjoy the moment, for now.

Falcon's Section Rankings:
1. AL
2. Austin ( untill faribault and AL beat them)
3. Northfield
4. Faribault
5. Redwing
6. Waseca.

Falcon's Goalie Ranks:
1. Northfield (after Nova Game)
2. AL (taking into account the meaningless Austin Shootout)
*If KH were to improve her standard of living, and move to Faribault, we would take this spot.
3. Redwing
4. Faribault
5. Waseca
6. Austin ( still waiting to see the tourney stats, but this is my educated guess)

Falcon's skater's ranks:
1. AL
2. Faribault
3. Northfield
4. Austin (a.k.a. 3 players and a JV team.)
5. Redwing
6. Waseca

Falcon's impact player rank:
1. Austin
2. AL
3. Redwing
4. Faribault
5. Northfield
6. Waseca

Goalie stats for the weekend:

KH 96%- 30 for 31 (not including MW, which I didn't know)
17 for 35 in shootout

DeVries (Austin) 70% - 7 for 10 (vs Fairmont)
21 for 35 in shootout

Weckworth (Austin) 65%- 33 for 51 (vs Bloomington and MW)

Stark (Northfield) 92%- 88 for 95 (vs Bloomington, Fairmont, Novas)
29 for 35 in shootout (I think that's what they announced..)

*Percentages are not including the shootout results.

It took me awhile, but I finally found the stats. The newspapers are wonderful things. Tigerpower, it looks like your stats are a little off. But I imagine you were SWAGging it. My rankings will be pretty accurate.

Tiger power, you are me.
I wonder if RSI and KH go to the same preschool? :P :P I am sorry KH, you did not deserve that comment, and let us be serious, preschool is beyond RSI.

Tomorrow is easy:

Predictions:

East 3 (assuming 7 shots on net) Cheer up Austin, it could be worse, you could of kept last year's backup.

AL 6
JM 0 (KH is upset, she will post a shutout or move to Faribault)

Faribault 5
West 6

Red Wing 1
Prior Lake 3

Pretty good squad? They lost to AL twice. The last loss looks like AL dominated. That would make AL a Pretty Great Squad.

I think AL got a bit lucky and probably shouldn't have won that first one. Goaltending was the difference as West outskated AL.

Austin STILL has not lost to a 1A team, their last loss in 1A play was the Section finals in February of '06 - almost 2 years ago! Not quite Mayo's Big 9 run, but pretty impressive none the less!

Only 2 hurdles remain.
1/15 @ Faribo
1/17 Home vs. AL

Can they make it 2 full seasons without a loss in Section Play?

p.s. Mayo's run ends one week from today!

What were the shots?

AL 4 [41 shots] Potvin in goal
JM 1 [15 shots] KH in goal

Tough games coming next week...

Leave it to Jet to sugar coat it. Call it whatever you would like. :D

Really, how hard is it to pass the 8th grade as a junior? :P

The Austin run is over. Totally different team. No need to hype that. I hope we beat AL to that punch.

The Mayo run is a much greater achievement. Different team, but they reloaded significantly. Last night's score:
Mayo 3
Owatonna 3.

I see an open door. Can AL add this feather to their hat? After watching Last night's game against MW, I am clear about 2 things: third periods bite and AL is the team to beat.

RSI, I could care less if Austin got lucky once. AL is the top seed and state goes through that little inbred hick town.
