What the deal with O'Shea from Eastview, Im not positive on this but wasnt he starting as a freshmen last year? I was unimpressed with his abilities, when I watched him play Jefferson's weak team last year, however he is pretty young and thats a fair excuse for me. Does anybody know the story behind him? Starting him so young, is Eastview low on Goalies, or is he expected to develop
Gibbons threw him to the wolves last year. With Krob as a senior this year (is better but much shorter than O'shea) and Gibbons gone, Drey and Bart put more trust in Krob and it has worked out to their advantage. He will get his chance but I would not say he is above average. Decent size and goes to a ton of goalie camps but have not seen improvement since last season thus far.
He has upside but I just dont see him being the answer. There will be another young goalie comin up in the next year or 2...

Newsguy...Hate to break it to you but Eastview has nothing coming up as a goalie and players look at the youth program.
I do agree however niether goalie on the roster is the anwser.
Best goalie I have seen this year though is whoever Jefferson played when Valley played them, he made some great saves in a 30 save shutout victory. I believe they have been playing more than 1 this year and i'm not sure who it was that game.

Max preps is very messed up. Zach night is a forward from Jefferson and he somehow got some of ryan vaudreuil's stats.
Even though i've only seen him play a couple times. The kid from BSM looks like he's got great mechanics, and is a real good stand up goalie. Too bad he doesn't have a better Defense in front of him. The STA goalie flops around a bit too much for me. I'm not sold on Phillipi. Too inconsistent.

I would have to see some S%'s as well in order to base anything on those numbers. If a goalie sees only 10 shots per game and gives up 2 goals then they are not top tier... That being said, how many of those goalies are on teams that dont give up many shots?
Hastings Junior Goalie Jon Gleinser should be added to the top goalies. Great performance against Roseville 44 saves out of 46 shots to help lead the team to a major upset. Has also kept the Hastings team in games against Anoka, Forest Lake and Stillwater.

I'd have to agree 100% on this one. Nate Hampton is a very well played goalie. But i heard he is playing soccer? D-1 if he sticks with hockey.
Hoeflinn... Your joking right? He is a terrible goalie. If anyone attended the G.C.C and saw the Tech vs Cathedral game he was pulled in the 2nd period to despite from further humiliation.

A little harsh don't you think?
When hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too.

Yeah, I'd agree with the Hampton quote. He is a great goalie. As for Hoeflinn, I think it was a joke. He isn't terrible...he was pulled because Tech came out hard in the game and was working him. He couldnt stay in and it gave the other goalie a chance at some V against another solid team.
I think Yumusaklar did break the record his soph. year which is the first year South was open. He is a very good goalie who is struggling right now but still is winning some games for them. (see Jefferson 1-1 tie)
