He has 1 assist OVERALL, how can you say he is a top player?
Take a look at Drew Weber from Mankato West in the Big Nine(1A). He has tallied 4 GOALS.

chisago

I'd have to say Andrew Habel and Cory Lushanko. I believe Habel's leading chisago in assists, and Lushanko has put in a few goals.

Tyler Grubb, 9th grader from Farmington 13 points (7 goals) thus far and actually playing in the D zone, imagine that? A two way forward...

We are just listing some of the top Freshmen/8th Graders. He deserves to be on the list and the adjustment period is very hard for some of the players to make the adjsutment. I'm sure he will be fine at the end of the year.

Max Smith played as an 8th grader, but I would say that Brady Loew is the top youngster in the lake this year.

Also, Zach Adams w/ 3 points in the D position.
NP has alot of upcoming young talent. I see them being the team to beat next year.

I am not comparing anyone as to who is better, I just brought up James W. as a Freshman playing Varsity. Both have proven throughout their very short careers in hockey to be good players. Sec. 1A has a few of these boys playing and all are good players. You seem to think point totals are the only barometer to judge players where as there are many factors.

Actually, yes and no...point totals ARE a factor in who is the TOP 10 8/9 grade players ....Wagoner = not playing in the top 10 for freshman ...sorry

watched?

Post by jackstraw »

Hey Captain, on page 1 of the scores thread you said you were having trouble streaming the West/Ow game tonight, but now you say you saw Wag's play? Which is it? I was there, here is what I saw, Wagoner didn't play until late in the 2nd, and he played as a forward. I don't know why he wasn't out there earlier or why he didn't play D. Weber got more shifts but not a regular one, but then there really isn't a rhyme or reason to West's shift's except that 11 and 14 play a ton. Both the Freshmen looked like they belonged out there. As for top 10, I don't know if either would be there.

Just thought I would bring this back up to the top and see if TheCaptain answers the question as to whether he was in Owatonna Tues. night or if that was an all-out lie. Keep in mind I think Drew W. is a very good player and I feel he will do VERY well in these next 4 years.
