Once again, East outshoots an opponent by a lot...and loses. It's a trend I'm not liking much at all. They could have had more too, probably; I was getting frustrated with how long they were holding the puck, passing back and forth from point to point, at times. I'll give a lot of credit to Aaron Baker and the Cloquet D for keeping the Greyhounds down. Jokinen, meanwhile, put the Jacks' offense on his shoulders and displayed an ability to bury the puck that no current East players seem to have. That was probably the difference in this game.
everytime east loses...there's the whiners with excuses 8)
That's considered whining??? I believe you are confusing explanations with excuses.
Well, yeah. Everyone knows we whine better than that when it's actually time to whine.

Let's see...in this post, I:
1. Point out a trend that can be seen in every East loss this year.
2. Suggested a possible explanation for this trend.
3. Gave credit to several Cloquet players I was impressed with.
4. Pointed out a difference between the two that helped Cloquet to the win.

If that's still considered "whining," I don't really know how to respond. If I'd complained about the referees, coaching decisions, the other team's students, dirty play, or something along those lines, I could see how it could be labeled "whining."
Don't worry...I'll tell you when I'm going to whine. :D

ColdAsIce, I'm not sure what your comment was in that, but you put it in the middle of the quoted material. It looks like it was me who said I'm the authority on East hockey. Heh heh. karl(east) has some knowlege of East hockey. He might be a little impatient; if this was happening in early February rather than mid-December, I'd be concerned myself. But there is a ton of hockey left for the boys to play. I maintain that they'll be fine.

And after today's game, the "mini-slide" (if one can evern call it that) has come to a halt.

Lee, you ARE the sole authority on East hockey, yes I messed up, but Karl is impatient...only December for crying out loud, and yes the boys looked good yesterday, they needed the win

After missing the last two games, I've demoted myself. The Sole Authority title is up for grabs again. Image

I'd never say I'm an authority on East hockey. I just happen to go to every game and then come here to offer what I thought of them. If you disagree with my interpretations, by all means say so. These are just my reactions.
