Think again, Hendrickson brings Barnes play to another level.

Barnes should be packing Hendrickson in his truck before he heads to U of W.
Ha there is no way in hell Hendrickson is a 2nd man to Barnes, Hendo is his own man who doesnt need Barnes just as much as Barnes doesnt need hendo, Hendo grinds his heart out, and barnes dangles all night

And perhaps this insightful volley might explain why they lost to Eagan???

they not only lost to Eagan they got shut out 4-0 to a team that looked very un-impressive in their game versus Eden Prairie on TV.

Brave is still right about Hendo and Barnes, they lost to Eagan cause Eagan came hardcore to play and burnsville wasn't in the mind set that eagan was ganna give any fight

Urban legend from an Elite League game??? Eyewitness account, Gleason and his partner were offsides while trying to jump in the play and rush the puck up the ice. Must have forgot there were three other players called FORWARDS in front of them.

Have you ever heard of two D being offsides before  I didn't think so
I actually saw that a lot with the GR Bantam A's last year.

Roy in GR is starting to heat up and make a case for himself. He's demonstrating all the qualities of the award. Team leadership & superior on ice skills. While he faces some pretty long odds on winning the award, he should be at least a candidate.

Even though there are many quality seniors in the state of Minnesota, my top picks are:

Matt Leer (Edina)
Jake Hendrickson (Burnsville)
Tom McCarthy (BSM)
Aaron Ness (Roseau)

I will refine my picks as the season continues...

I contcted the Chairman of Mr. Hockey in MN and this is what she said

I am aware that Aaron will be graduating this year. As I contact the NHL scouts and D1 coaches that are sent Mr. Hockey ballots, I will try to ensure that they are aware that Aaron may be eligible to be voted on due to graduating early from his school.

Thank you,

Roseau's got more than just Ness. Im also intrigued by their #27, Nelson. The season is still very young.

Matt Leer hits, but has a ton of penalties and according to MaxPreps no points on the year. I know he has no goals, but find it hard to believe he hasn't snuck an assist in there somewhere.

McCarthy is not a very good player compared with most of the other players listed and only has 4 points on the year.

Student from Benilde looked pretty good the other night but they will probably take a forward this year.

How can you people say lee and everson are better than gleason. Sure they have more points now because gleason is the one passing them the puck. Over 3/4's of those two players points combine have come from gleason(according to the papers) and gleason dominated the high level of play being the leading defensive scorer in Elite League.

There are some that would argue that Gleason did not play a lot of D in the Elite League.

Too bad the Elite League does not keep plus/minus stats.

Tommy O'Donell is a very good player for Bloomington Jefferson an ddeserves a lot more credit on this board than he gets. He is fast, strong and has very good hands and deserves more attention for Mr. Hockey. Now, that he is was mentioned, I think he could easily be a finalist, but don't think he will win.

You're forgetting at least one senior.

David Eddy of Woodbury has 11 goals and 6 assists so far according to pointstreak.com.

BIAFP is just paranoid about self promotion. He's nothing but an idiot that knows jack about the sport of hockey. I'm willing to bet he sits at home all day with a MINNHOCK jerey and a headband and questions people and makes bad jokes all day.

Tommy should be considered as a top 10 finalist, he is a quality player. He has great ice presence and has skills. Very good leader for the Jags.
