Rehcamp was fast hungry and had some very pretty goals. I'd agree with Gov's assessment of the Breck goalie.......tentative and out of position at the beginning and very strong towards the end.

Great game!
Agreed. Both teams deserve the attention they are getting. STA moves the puck amazingly well.

Speaking of moving the puck, did anybody else think there was something up in that rink? Pucks were sticking to the ice, bouncing all over the place, flying around... I'm not sure they froze the pucks before (or during) the game, and - I almost hate to say it - they may need to turn the heat down in there. A couple of times STA broke into the zone and fanned on shots where the puck just stopped on the ice.

I know the Breck fans and family tend to like to be "comfortable", but it's hockey for cripes sake. Turn it down.

I noticed an interesting thing at this game! All of the players were sitting down on the bench for STA. They were sitting shoulder to shoulder crammed onto this bench and not once did they stand to get a better view of the action. It looked very uniform and classy opposed to Breck and most teams standing and hanging halfway over the boards. So is this a discipline tactic by the head coach or is it a strategy for keeping their legs for the 3rd period? Any insight into this?

THis game sounds oftly familiar to the cretin breck game a couple of weeks ago, cretin badly outshout the mustangs and also controlled the whole game. However give credit to mustangs goalie and their timly scoring in both of their victiores. Cretin vs sta next week at highland should be a great game.

It was like everybody was saying... he played fine, but STA kept getting beat on odd-man rushes, and it's tough to put it on the goalie when you do that. When you're playing 4 deep in the offensive zone, you're playing a big risk/reward gamble... it leaves you vulnerable in the neutral zone, and Breck took advantage. Once they could gain control in their zone and get it above the dots, they were able to break out without too much trouble.

I noticed something was up with the rink. Players from both teams were constantly losing edges, falling, and fanning on pucks.

Ha! That is a) not true, STA were standing also and b) they were far from classy, especialy Walter's who showed no class at all by showboating after a goal by jumping up on the glass at Breck's side. Although STA is a talented team, they show no class at all on the ice. Good to see such cocky attitudes beat.
I drove to see this game hoping to see STA win, thought they would, but after the way they acted I didn't care.

Because one player celebrating a goal by jumping on the glass takes away from the class of the entire team...right

Roads. Blue with black trim, "Cadets" across the front. Do they have more than 1 dark or what?

All I can say is bad timing for the Vannelli's and their Star Tribune article! STA is and always has been completely about winning. They are a good team but they could steal even more players if they opted up to AA.

No. They were very chippy and I actually went to the upper level and watched through the glass because the STA students were as obnoxious as the players. Maybe some of the private school kids should come to my public school see how it's done when you show some class.

As an alumnus I will agree about fans completely. It is often very embarrassing. There are ways to cheer for your team that are respectable, those boys don't do it well.

Breck players have been doing the glass jumping thing for years. In front of their fans and the opposing fans. So don't git ur undies in a bunch. :P

Actuall Puck testic??s it was his third. 4pts against Lourdes and 2 Breck. Though you ar right let them celebrate I have seen much worse. I think he forgot where his section was because at STA they have a target at that corner of the glass in their student section and it is just natural to go there after you score some many goals on your home rink.

Not even close. He knew what he was doing. Unless he flips off his own student section as well! It wasn't a horrible thing, but I think what some of the posters are saying is that don't call the team classy for sitting in a row while they are pulling showboat pranks like that.

If you were at the game, then saw that after Walters debacle, the Breck coach instructed the boys to go immeadatly back to the face off circle after each of their next three goals. No high fives on the bench, no glass celebrations. Just hockey. Now that is class.

flat on ice no I am not Ken Walters and I am not from Hibbing though I am from their biggest rival Chisholm and know of the Walters grandparents back in Hibbing.
Chisholm 1960 grad. I go most ranger friends kids games when I can. The young man did get overly excited and jumped the glass, but never flipped anyone off. Go to an STA game and the student section sits in that corner with huge targets on the glass for the players to jump into.If he would have STA not the hockey team would have suspended him and he would have received demerits
