Hey Petern 3.....this argument was made about Jefferson in the early 90's beating D 3 schools....there is NO WAY that Edina could compete with any of those teams MIAC/NCHA. If you could magically time warp Edina players three to four years from now and compete, then yes it could possibly happen. You need to get out and see some other hockey at some time.....very good players playing at that level. In fact, other than a handful of Edina players I doubt there would be any others that could play at the college level when their hs careers are over...

I don't know if you'd call them the 'most' underrated team, but Jefferson didn't get a lot of talk at the beginning of the year. They took Burnsville into OT, handled a good Rosemount team and only have one loss to date.

They barely cracked the top twenty preseason polls but now are starting to inch into the top ten polls. Because of the section they're in they probably won't make it to state but it looks like they're better than we thought they'd be at the start of the season.
It's hard to win when you always lose.

I would have to say ROSO 8)

It is kind of like Iraq in the good old days, there was no #2, #3 or #4. For ROSO to have so many teams rated so close to them is a travesty. Let's invade

I like Jefferson as an underrated team. Teams should not take them lightly.

It seems to me that they have so much depth that if one of the top players has a REALLY bad game there's enough other top players to make up for poor performance. I also want to mention Minnetonka as slightly underrated, their defenseman will excel this year.
If Edina were a D3 hockey team, I'd bet they win the National title. They could beat some D1 teams.

Lets make a list
Anders Lee- D1 needs to get his ACT up for Harvard
Joe Gleason- NoDak
Matt Leer- Maybe d1 probably Juniors than d1 or straight to d3
Casey Gaarder- Probably d3 if he plays in college
Max Everson- probably d1 in the future
Zach Budish- NoDak or Minn
Marshall Everson- Harvard
Connor Gaarder- D1 talent not sure academically
Pat Regan- probably Juniors and maybe d1
Brendan Baker- D1
Charlie Taft- probably D1 very young
Derek Caschetta - D3 getting lots of looks from MIAC

I think you are maybe getting a bit ahead of yourself! The best D3 teams are loaded with borderline D1 players. Beating D1 teams would not happen! They may give AIC a game, but I don't think they could win.

Horgan and Johnson are the studs, no doubt, but the White Hawks have one of the most talented 2nd lines in the state. After seeing them play a couple times, I'd say they rival a lot of team's 1st lines. They've got a deep team at forward.

Defense they are pretty young, they've got a couple seniors, but also a lot of underclassmen see shifts, but they've stepped up pretty well I'd say.

I don't believe rosemount was underrated graf, people talked about how good this team should be way before the season started and i'm pretty sure i read these forums last year talking about all the returning talent they were gonna have this year....i personally think they should live up to the talent that they got cuz i do believe that

Anyway....I think Eastview is underrated in the Lake they have some solid players and i also believe Bloomington Jefferson was a little underrated because i believe most people thought after their bad season last year that they wouldn't have anything but i believe their at the top of the Lake at the moment....i'll be interested to see if that lasts

Who's on Mound's second line?... cause i've only heard about how well Horgan and Johnson are doing.

Coon Rapids definetly has a talented first line of forwards and are capable of upsetting some teams down the stretch, but goal tending could be and issue.

Two class A teams that are underrated:

Mankato West - they'll be a top ten team by the time it all shakes out.

Albert Lea - They aren't getting any press, but they should at least be in the top 20.
Don't sweat the small stuff.
It's all small stuff.
