LSHS vs Farmington score?

Post by Jethrotull »

Please post the Lakeville South vs Farmington score from 11/27/07. The Star-Trib only has the Farmington JV vs Holy Family JV score listed.

Hey Mayo folks, JM v Mayo next Tuesday. Will Mayo be able to handle Lemish, Armstrong, Buesewitz and Steege? Will they be able to get pucks past Bonapace? What are you predictions?

I predict a closer game. Yeah Mayo will probably outshoot JM 2:1 at least like most of the other teams. But Bonapace has been stronger then ever and kept them in every game. The younger players have also stepped up for JM's losses last year. Lemish has proved that she's been able to score points, but she has to control herself. My prediction is 4-2 Mayo.

Rocket, sorry but the JML girls will be going down with a splat! I don't think Mayo (or Mayo/Lourdes or Mayo/South Century) has ever lost to JM. Lemish is a spaz and the other girls you mentioned (breusewitz, armstrong etc) are grinders at best. If I was Mayo I would beat on Lemish and tweak her out to take her off her game. Fiek will walk around them and if Flesher and Pickel decide to move the puck it will be 50 shots to 15. Murphy and Bonapace are both good goalies but the rink rumors are that Bonapace is hurt and if they crack her, the floodgates will open.

My prediction is Mayo wins 8-1. Steege will get JM's lone goal and Mayo will get 2 from Fiek, 2 from Flesher, and 2 from Pickel.

Pux you're nuts. This will be a 1 goal game. Mayo will be trying too hard and JM will be jacked up. Don't you think JM will put their checkers on Mayo's scorers? You can get under Fiek and Pickel's skin pretty easy. Flesher doesn't like to get bumped. The girls know where the "scabs" are and how to "pick" them. This should be a fun contest!

My hope is a Rocket upset. It can happen...

Somebody pinch rocket and wake him up. He is dreaming in the firecracker fantasy land. Mayo will win by at least 3 goals, maybe more if the JM goalie is not at the top of her game.

Falcon,

This is a crosstown rivalry. The stats really don't apply. The games are decided by emotions and not always by who is better. I know Mayo is the superior team but we'll know by 7:15 tonight who wanted it the most. I hear Lemish is DQ'd for a kicking penalty so it will be even tougher but JM will make a showing.

If you play tonight, good luck.

The news just said Mayo 11 JM 0. Is this right?

If it is, rocket you are more clueless than I thought. Maybe you should try winter danceline. :P :P :P

I'm with you Falcon! Rocket was in dreamland. 11-0? Bonapace couldn't have made a difference in this game. Maybe Rocket should wait for the JM-Century matchup to spread his BS.

Well Falcon I guess I gotta eat crow tonight. Since you have a lot of practice eating things with feathers I have to ask what wine goes with crow? It turns out that Bonapace is down with mono rather than an injury. Lemish is out with a kicking DQ. Even with those 2 in the lineup Mayo would be all over the northsiders. It was a bad JM night all around... Mayo boys JV 11-JM JV 0, Mayo boys varsity won by at least 4 goals. Just remember that they play twice a season so there will be a rematch.

K Armstrong played goalie for JM tonight and she is normally a forward. That takes a lot of courage. Mayo put the 8th grade Clay in the net for 2 periods so that was a good deal for her. Gotta help her for next year.

So Tweety, you meet JM/L on 12/18. Any predictions? Assuming Bonapace is healthy enough to play (she has a 96% save percentage) who many goals do you think Faribault will get? How many will you get personally? Are you #3 or #15 (seniors with zero points)? I know, you are a defensive specialist. Do you really want me to do danceline? I'm kinda big, hairy and grey and you really don't want to see my high kick  . I also think the high school league wouldn't bend on the 20 year old age limit for participation.

let's see if mayo had around 42 shots on net and bonapace has a 96% save percentage...you do the math...i don't know about you but that makes for a heck of a lot closer game...katie was extremely brave for stepping up in net! and congrats to her on her first start as a goalie! great girl w/ a good attitude and an all around team player!

IP,

I like Math. Let's do some. 100% minus a 96% save average is a 4% (0.04) scoring average for the opponents. 42 shots times 0.04 equals 1.68 goals. That would have made for a 1 or 2 goal differential. That is close to what I had predicted. I think that even the Mayo fans would have enjoyed a close game.

Yes, Katie actually played well and you can really see that she is a softball player! She liked her catch glove and a lot of times it worked for her. One of the parents told me that McNaughton will be back this week too so they have a goalie and can get Katie skating out. Mayo clearly dominated the play and puck possession and I don't think that Katie and Lemish skating would have changed that too much. Mayo is better than I had expected (minus last years class) and JM wasn't as good as I had expected. I am still trying to get the (crow) feathers out of my teeth. Tastes Bad! I'm assuming that you are a Mayo player or parent...how did you like Clay's play? She looked fairly confident so I guess working with Moffitt is good for her.

I actually was not at the game. I heard a lot about it though. I've never seen Clay play but I know Moffit, and I know w/o a doubt that he knows what he's talking about.
Mayo will have a strong team and strong coaching for years to come. But sooner or later, someone will hand them their first loss in the Big 9 in four years. They have to be on top of their game for Austin for sure. Especially b/c Farmington is in their section this year. I think it'll be Mayo and Farmington in the Section final this year.

Time to educate the uneducated.
Obviously someone (rocket), did not do their homework before opening their mouth. Usually this is taught at a young age. Rocket, for a man of your age, you must of missed out on this juvenile fundamental.

As for the math, it is irrelevent. I am sure the Mayo machine was tuned down to first gear before the start of the game. Another words, the team was held back to prevent a football score.

I was thinking about rocket's quote on the demise of the forced rochester split. He stated that other big nine teams would play developmental teams to run up their stats. Mayo does not need to do that, they just need to play JM. :P :P :P

you are an idiot. when have you ever heard of a coach telling a team to let up or "put it in first gear"

Oh yea you are right. When a team is blowing out another team, the coach always has his kids play as hard as possible, leave in his first line, play at the most 2 lines, not let his lower level kids get any time, try to run up the score, I could go on.......... but hopefully you got the point.
Go have another one on me......but please do not kill your last brain cell.

Manky West looked good against Mayo last night. Murphy was awesome. I only got to see part of the game since my daughter had ice on another rink. Are the West young players their stud(ette)s?
