The title will stay in the north country:
Semis:
Elk River
Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids Winning

Grand Forks (if it is the Wheatkings)
East Grand Forks

East Grand Forks Winning

GRAND RAPIDS winning it all.

Roseau is in the stronger Bracket.
Looking at the Flyers web site it looks like they are beatable. East Grand Forks and Grand Forks Wheatkings beat them this past weekend and Moorhead lost by a goal to them this weekend.
It sounds like East Grand Forks has a good team and they are in the weaker side of the bracket.

Here is a link I found to the "Moorhead Invitational Tournament" Brackets.
This will download the "New" brackets in MS Excel format.
Click the tabs at the bottom of the Excel sheet to "move around" to each of the Bracket style tournaments.

Seems like recently - Andover has taken Alexandria's spot in the tournament.

I've seen MGrove play three times this year...and having seen Roseau in Fargo as Squirts the past two years....I would predict Roseau to beat MGrove by a goal or two.

I'm here but don't have a lot to say, still feeling things out and learning who everybody is and who they are pulling for. I'm firmly in the EGF court. I am excited to see how the north matches up with the southern/metro teams.

But the NORTH is gonna RULE!

Although it is generally true.....
The Moorhead website brackets are not up-to-date, as Andover is now in for Alexandria. There was a rumor that another team may be considering a withdrawal as well, but I have not been able to confirm or deny the accuracy of that rumor.
For what I hear Alexandria didn't think that their team was a good fit for this tournament, at this point in the season.

bob why go to that sight all it has is the brackets. my prediction for this tourney is roseau or grand rapids. lakeville and elk river have an outside shot. flyers are my dark horse. what i know for sure is andover, anoka, brainerd, rogers, furgus, east grand have no chance of winning the whole thing.

I think I will go with East Grand Forks.

I went with Roso over GR and the boys let me down.
Besides, EGF has that Eades kid. So out on a limb I go.

I should call the 'greatest peewee coach of all time' and see if he has any inside info for me on the dog's team.

The only potential issue with your prediction is:
all 4 of your teams are from the same side of the bracket.
Only 1 of those teams COULD be in the championship game, and they have a tough road to get there.
East Grand Forks and Fargo have a fairly easy path, with the exception of them potentially playing Vs each other in the QuarterFinals of the bracket.

Championship Game Prediction
Grand Rapids Vs Fargo

This tournament has 4 of the top 6 Northern MN teams, plus Fargo and Grand Forks. The top ranked Metro area team in the tourney is Elk River, who is about the 10th (or so) best team in the Metro.
With that being said, I envision the champion coming out of the north.

Is the Eades kid a second year pee wee? I still think the winner will come out of the grand rapids side of the bracket.

yeah they let us down on that one. that doesnt mean you go suicidel after that. i know all my predictions are from one side but thats the way moorhead set the tourney up. i still say fargo could be tuff. they scare me everytime we have to play that group but they havent been playing good this season im still uncertain as to why. Are the kids falling back? ill tell ya this two years ago that team won the fargo flyer tourney and they were good! hockey mad i read you loud and clear tommy is the gun on that team without question..

The Flyers lost to Edina in the Championship game 2 years ago, they did have a strong Squirt team that year.

yes you are right they did lose 2-1 i think it was. ok heres the run down for the roseau victory in the moorhead tourney. this team is notorious for tournament play especially the first game so they will come out smokin to take out maple grove. game two just lost to grand rapids last weekend in a sleeper gr will come out flat thinking its a cake walk theyll be down by 3 befor they know what hits them and wont recover. third game elk river just as small as we are without the speed roseau by two. championship game will probley be the easiest of the tourney. thank you now if im right with all this detail i will make a hot line for 15 bucks a call for future predictions..

Here's my entry into predicting the outcome of this tourney. This is totally based on misinformation, misperception, misconception, miscommunication, assumption, homerism and is totally biased.

In the left bracket:
Andover over Elk River (gut feeling)
Lakeville over Moorhead (seen Moorhead in a scrimage, beatable)
Roseau over Maple Grove (northern bias)
Grand Rapids over Anoka (fact is a fact)

In the right bracket:
Brainerd over Rogers (in a coin flip)
Grand Forks over Fergus Falls (GF Sugar Kings beat them last weekend Wheat Kings complete the GF sweep this weekend)
East Grand Forks over Champlin Park (Homer)
Fargo Flyers over Stillwater (the Flyers can beat anyone on any day)

Saturday in the Wild Bracket:
Lakeville over Andover (blinded by stats)
Roseau over Grand Rapids (rematch on neutral ice, equally rested, revenge?)
Grand Forks over Brainerd (it is what it is)
East Grand Forks over Fargo Flyers (2 weeks ago it was the Flyers 6-0 in EGF, this past weekend it was EGF 2-0 in Fargo. Which team will show up? Besides, that's the home team!)

Roseau over Lakeville (too tough to tame)
East Grand Forks over Grand Forks (EGF 6-2 3 weeks ago)

3rd Place
Lakeville over Grand Forks (southern pride)

And in the Big One:
Going out on a limb here...

Roseau, 3-2 in OT
