Someone needs to really step up and take a stranglehold on the goalie position. I think Virginia will be tough in their own building, and they've nipped Rapids too often in recent years. This week would be a one for GR to get the season going back in the right direction.

Look for a tighter game than most think it will be. Kyle Figgins will be in goal for his first Varsity start and you just never know how a kid will respond. I'm sure he'll be up to the challenge and play well. After two games, GR has shown both very good and very bad. Defensively, only a few are getting the job done. The others need to pick up their game. Goaltending is going to be one of their strengths. In my opinion, they've outplayed both opponents so far running into an extremely hot goaltender from Forest Lake. GR will be fine. The coaching staff will make the right adjustments as will the players. The upper classmen in this group knows what it takes to be there at the end and will push, pull or drag everyone else with them.

Virginia 4 Rapids 2 with empty net goal. Rapids can't get the puck in the back of the net. Kosak and Rendle will step up at the same time and get beat a couple times too.
