Boy do you like to hear yourself talk Moose Jaw - Keep it up and you could develope lock jaw. I am from Warroad but a hockey fan - I will drive to the closest arena to watch good hockey. And yes even I have posted from the Ralph it is great. Maybe we should all meet there and post together.

My great-grandfather on my mother's mother's side was named Ole.

He was NOT so sweet.

You can read about him sometime in the future when I finish THAT novel.

And the PR people really do like me. :D

Bemidji 1,0,1 = 2

SOG
EGF 31
Bemidji 25
EGF dominated first period on the scoreboard (3 goals in a one minute span at the half way point of the first period).
SOG pretty even after the first period.
During play of third goal two players hooked helmets and the ref was disconnecting them - very wierd.

Penalties
EGF 10 (including one called for a penalty shot)
Bemidji 5
Refs were Warroad guys
Second period 6 Warroad and 4 for Bemidji
Third period Warroad 3 (including penalty shot) and 1 for Bemidji.
Game was physical - not cheap. Both sides hit hard.

EGF's Wikoff, Grabanski, & Useldinger played very well.

Turning point (besides the 3 goal outburst), after Bemidji's Curb scored on the penalty shot, EGF came back with their first line - Bemidji came out with the wrong line and two goals in the shift.

Overall - fun game to watch (most of the time - even though Bemidji played poorly or vice versa in the first).
Bemisji's young players got a wake up call after having an easy first game.
Not a big deal, but it was actually the first goal of the game when two players had their buckets caught together...very wierd and looking back the ref prolly should have just blown it dead instead of helping them untangle them as right after it the green wave scored

Enough about poor old TRF woes.

Back to the topic at hand.

Let's face it.

EGF is going to win it this year with balance and strong goaltending.

If Chupka can control the mob mentality and keep his team in check, no pun intended, ala the semis against the mighty prowlers last Feb. they should take the Section this year.

But, good luck to all in Section 8.

I agree, egf has a lot of talent this year

It was a 2-2 tie last year when EGF played Park Rapids and, Lehrke had one goal. I wouldn't call that beating their whole team.[/quote]

Lehrke is over rated, park needs to quit talkin up an UNDER RATED player

I hate to disagree with you sir but you are way off base. Any player who is getting a D1 look right out of HS is definitely not overrated. Look at all the HS players in the state, I bet not even 1/15,000 even get scouted by a D1 team seriously in HS. They may look at them but never talk about a scholarship right out of HS... I may have been baited, but an ignorant comment is in need of an explanation... so please explain...
