Warroad is the clear cut favorite in section 8 - I believe 2-5 will be Bemidji-EGF-Park Rapids and TRF , I listed these in alphabetical order. I would expect to see the same final as we have seen 4 out of the last 5 years. I think TRF has the most talent but the are very young - I think they play the toughest shedule in the section and they will improve the most. They have the best young goalie and he will win them some games - My wave could be good but will be very undisciplined as always. Bemidji has talent but they seem to self destruct in High School. Park Rapids has 1 or 2 great players and not alot else- two players can be nuetralized. Time will tell - Good luck to all.

stranger things have happened and they were there last year in the finals. 1-5/6 is going to be real tight. Wouldnt be suprised to see any of the others in the top 6 competing against Warroad for the section.moose jaw wrote:Greenwave9 did i read your post right trf has the most talent![]()

the closest this trf squad gets to the finals is waiting in line to buy tickets to watch warroad vs bemidji/egf.
1-5/6 will not be tight. There is no question that Warroad is clearly the best team and a clear cut #1. I do agree 2-5/6 will be tight. Moose Jaw I don't believe greenwave said they were the most talented team in the section he/she said they had the most young talent of those in 2-6 set. I also remember that when these 3-4 bantams you talk about were 2nd year peewee's they lost to Grand Rapids in the Regional by 1 goal to go to state so they do have some talent. Time will tell but it is sure fun to talk about early. GO WARRIORS
I would hate to see the arrogance and cocky attitude come back to bite some one in the butt (not naming names/schools of course). It should be fun to watch this section section.warrior4 wrote:1-5/6 will not be tight. There is no question that Warroad is clearly the best team and a clear cut #1. I do agree 2-5/6 will be tight. The talk on the board has been great but it's time to do some talking inside the board(s). Light the Torch and let the games begin in the "section that sits atop the state."
Tues 11/27
Red Lake Falls @ Crookston: Early raid will yield a vessel for the Pirates
East Grand Forks @ Bemidji: The Wave will travel 200 miles on a school night for a Loss
Roseau @ Thief River Falls: Tough start for the Prowlers
Kittson Central @ Lake of the Woods: LOW defends home ice
Pequot Lakes @ Bagley-Fosston: No BS here, B-F gets a November win

I am glad you are giving BF a win but dont count your chickens before they hatch... They do have some good players coming back but they are extremely young.Irishmans Shanty wrote:The talk on the board has been great but it's time to do some talking inside the board(s). EGF @ Bemidji- Bemidji 5-2
Roseau @ TRF- Roseau 4-1 (I dont think TRF will let it go too far)
Kittson Central @ LOW- I think the underdog may pull it out Kittson 4-3.
Pequot Lakes @ BFCG- BFCG 4-2... They are starting the Soph tonight for his first career start... HOPEFULLY NO NERVES!

My 200 mile estimation wasn't too bad.
EGF to Bemidji is a cakewalk nowadays thanks to the Crookston bypass and the 65mph speed limit.![]()
That's why those guys are always flashing their lights at me.

NEWsguy35 obviously is trying to give us his spin on Section 8A but he's too far away and hasn't dealt with it long enough. Roseau WILL make this TRF game a laugher early. If TRF has 12 shots all night I'll be surprised that is if the Rams don't play their 3rd and 4th lines the whole third period. Moosejaw is right Tim is a great coach but it's early and they are really young with poor numbers and the Rams are already hitting on all 8 cylinders. Lee gets his first shutout of the year and the Rams put up double digits if they WANT to. This one will be over early in every sense of the word.

The only problem is that Roseau, for some reason. seems to struggle a little at the MiniRalph.
That being said, I still expect a rout.
We will see soon enough!!!

I don't know if there's a rout at the Ralph tonight but I can say the rout at the home port has gone final.
Admiral Bittner is back and once again triumphant in 8A waters.
Crookston 10, RLF 2
