Why is it?

Post by O-townClown »

Why is it that you'll see a mom take a kid to figure skating,
you'll see a mom or a dad take them to hockey practice,
but you won't see dads take their daughters to figure skating?

Ponder.

Some of those figure skater moms are quite "earthy" looking and way too sensitive. They get very upset because the young boys waiting to go on the rink are smelly and they stand at the glass and look at the girls which the moms say is intimidating and distracting. They have joined together and have tried to ban hockey practice at Pleasant Arena in St. Paul.

What you really don't see a lot of is a father taking his SON to figure skating lessons and for this, I'm eternally grateful.

OTC, you live in Florida, yes I know you used to live in god's country, but Orlando is not reality when it comes to ice sports. This generalization is just stupid and so are some of the comments, particularly Charliedog's.

We have girls that play hockey and I have no clue what their fathers look like. Their mothers are the only parent I ever see. We have other girl hockey players that seem to drag along both parents and we have others that only seem to have a dad. We have figure skating dads that are hyper involved, we have some that sit in their cars in the lot and never come in and we have other FS dads that sit and read a book or work on their laptop.

Oh, and the girl hockey players usually stink too and they like to stare at the boys... well at least the girls that my daughter plays with do.

now that's a good one I hadn't heard before. There was some originality and though in that one

And as you can tell it hasn't worked yet, but the kids do develop a heck of an English accent in many cases.

Bahaha i saw that and i couldnt stop laughing!.

but back onto case.

This topic is way to stereotypical and lacks a ton of knowledge or "polls" to know if it's really true!. You may never see it, doesn't mean no one does it.

Blah

Why is it, that kids like to play with legos?

And teens like their video games?

And Adult Women like their antic shops?

In fact,

they don't.

Little Johnny likes legos

Ben likes video games and

marissa likes antic shops

(trying to be as individual as i can i have to give the antic shop goer a girls name....sorry =[)
