Gaborik33 what is your anger towards Rosemount. God awful Rosemount as you put it.

Did you see the game against Hermantown or are you making statements about team from Mn MADE SCRIMMAGES.

They had 3 kids missing and 1 with Broken Arm. during these Scrimmages and now are 7-1 since. So I hope you understand that its not nice to call a team god awful. Teams will improve on the year.

Unless your kid played for Eagan last year when Rosemount PWA's beat them 3-2 and ruined any chance for them to win District 8. I don't understand why you had to rip on them.

They have 6 kids returning from that team, 1 is out with broken ankle. So they will beat some teams. Hermantown has scored 6-7 goals in ever game this year, except rosemount game it was 0. So please show a little respect.

This isn't about Rosemount should be ranked or not, So please don't miss understand me. I just don't like anyone to put a program down that only has 49 skaters trying out for Peewees. Rosemount is what it is. But, god awful is wrong.

7-1 name one quality team rosemount beat(new prague, bemidgi)yep your one bad team beating another. Um you might want to check how many programs in the metro have 50 kids per level that have good coaching year in and year out, NOT parent/board member coaches that have only their kids best intreset in mind.

So I stick by my words GOD AWFULL! Bad Coaching!

I would be careful when using hte words "GOD AWFULL!" for some reason there tends to be a negative tone. Rosemount is not "GOD AWFULL!", they had won 7 of the last 8. I believe ppl accused Eagan's varsity team of being "GOD AWFULL!" a few years back and they walked into state, same can be said for Shakopee in 2003 when they didnt even get close to making it back to .500 but still made it to the state tournament....

Point being, choose your words carefully because you never know when you will eat them...

Rosemount hired the former Apple Valley / Rochester bantam coach for Bantam A's ?
Why would you do that? Was a reference check done? Did you ask why he was let go? Is he still coaching in Rochester as well? How is his attendance? And the final one : would you hire him again right now?

I heard that EP outplayed Apple Valley for most of the game. Apple Valley tied the game with 3 minutes to go to pull even. Eden Prairie outshot 37-14. EP sounds like they maybe a team to watch out for.

I think Apple Valley is a good team (PWA) and I know one of the coach's is an old rosemount coach. So I think this is how your opinion is formed of Rosemount. Erik is a good coach and they should have not let him go. Only he knows why they got rid of him. As far as other Coach's leaving they pick all of the kids for the team they will be coaching. (Not the Board). PWA coach last year left because some parents didn't like him. Bantam Coach left on his own to Coach JV at Apple Valley. I quess I don't know if you feel Rosemount should have paid them more to stay. We replaced our Bantam A coach with a coach from Apple Valley & Rochester. So again not a Board Member. PWA coach is Vice Pres. But, he is a good coach. We don't pay him to coach. I think more kids enjoy playing for him and he can be hard on the kids, But he gives them praise too. So if you think the Board at Rosemount is doing something to drive coach's away. Please bring some facts to what your saying. Asst Coach for Rosemount Peewee A HELPS COACH THE PEEWEE C's because no parents feel comfortable being the head Coach. So know I think this board member cares about the kids not just his own. His kid is on the PWA team and is a Peewee A player unless gaborik33 is picking the teams. He was coaching the peewee C's instead of Peewee A's last night at practice. So please feel free to rip him for being a board member.

I'am not a board member and don't agree with you calling a Team God Awfull. Please be honest with yourself and if your kid plays for an Apple Valley or someother powerhouse. Don't Scrimmage the little guys tell MN hockey you want to schedule your own games so you don't have to waste time playing teams that you know you will beat. Good Luck to you.
The Rosemount peewees coach selection process has been driven by one person who has appointed himself parent coach. Note that the Apple Valley powerhouse had only 43 peewees trying out this year, less then Rosemount. To my knowledge the word is out on Rosemount and most non-parent coaches are not applying. Result, no peewee coaches. Also, note Apple Valley's program is on the rise with quality players at the peewee and bantam levels fostered by non-parent coaching. Rosemount on the other hand is sagging with parent coaching and more numbers.

The Apple Valley peewee A coach from last year resigned after being there for about 10 years. He did this at the end of last season and he recommended the current coach.

To my knowledge, Apple Valley doesn't pay its coaches, but Rosemount does. I believe that is one reason why parent coaches are pushing the associations that pay to hire them-to pay for their kid's hockey.

They last non-parent Rosemount coaches were forced out. A board controlled by parent coaches always push the rumor that they quit when they were forced out. Otherwise they can't justify taking the coaching position.

SkillGuy - Your are correct. EP outplayed Av, but when they scored their tieing or tying (please let me know which is correct) goal, it was a fluke shot that bounced off the EP's defense stick on a shot from the point - The goal for EP had the save, but it was re-directed right onto #24's stick for the easy shot and his 3rd goal of the game.

I personally think g33 is full of Hot air and BS.

I also think the AV coach from last year is a heck of a coach and a great guy.

AV's coach last year was a good coach and a good guy. I was sorry that he resigned, but the coach he recommended is doing a good job and is dedicated to the program. He has his hands full this year. But it is possible that team can be a good one and contend in D6.

By the way, I saw that that fourth goal differently. The AV kid picked picked up the loose puck coming from the left side of the net. The puck was behind the net and he stuffed it through the goalie coming around the net on the right side. He did it all in one motion and two strides. He ended standing in front of the goalie on his right looking for a rebound. It was amazing move because it was all one motion and two strides. But you saw it differently, who knows. Thats hockey.

Rosemont is in a tough position. Statsman has suggested they have issues on the board. The president is a good guy, but it crumbles after that. They are having a power struggle much like other growning assoc have had.

The peewee a team is not that bad. They have not had proper training or coaching for quite sometime. They would clearly be contending for a district 8 title if they had not lost their goalie to the Fire. He can win a game for you all by himself. And they have one of the fastest and most frequent break away guys at the peewee level.

Stats , has your bantam a coach been attending the team practices / games at all or on time? Has the board discussed this problem already?
Would you hire him again?

Frederick - Your right on the way that goal was scored, but that was goal #3 for AV. I was referring to the 4th goal AV had.

That was a awesome play by probably one of the best 95 aged players in the state.....his skill, size and speed is an incredible combo.

Thanks. Sometimes my memory shifts. Has anybody else seen the Woodbury A peewees. I have seen them twice and continue to be impressed.
