At 6' 7" or so, Mr Budish would look horrible in a green Sioux jersey.

Zach, green is not your dad's color. Hopefully, it will not be yours!

Good luck in your decision.

Anyone have any more information?
Zach.......you're an Edina kid................metropolitan Minneapolis kid born and bred. How can you possibly go with the Sioux over the Gophs? If you are a northern Minnesota kid, I can possibly see it. But if Zach has the red carpet from both schools, he's got to stay close to home. Let's go, Zach. Put on the "M" !!!!!!!

He'd look like a pickle. In a place with ugly women.

Stay home Zack. Be a hero.

Go to UND and find a "NICE" girl who's dad is a sugar beet farmer. If she's an only child that's called a signing bonus.

The reason she would be an only child is the fact her folks couldn't figure out how the first one happened or the state of ND prohibited another science experiment gone terribly bad.

Zach - they're losing the Sioux name and mascot. Besides the arena ( a pc. of Waterford Crystal in a single-wide trailer home) they have nothing to offer.

There are only four girls in the flat lands that meet that criteria. The odds are not good

The real reason to go to UND is, with the success Tim Brewster and the Gopher football are going to have the next few years hockey will be playing second fiddle at the U.

the chicken or the egg, ignorance or arrogance, neutron or breakout,

UND has time and time again produced the best NHLer's and I think that is what is best for Zach.

I like them, but would trade them for a goal scorer.

Actually UND just has to get permission from the sioux tribe every 3 or so years and they get to keep the name and the mascot Ralph Englstad said " if you take a way the name i'm taking away the arena " which he paid for Ralph Englstad Arena

Is this decision getting easier since one program doesn't have NHL GM's saying they can't develop players?

I laugh every time I hear this comment... Garth Snow is only screwing his credibility. Wayne Gretzky has taken many U of MN players and will continue to take them. If Garth was a stand up guy about it and just kept his mouth shut after taking him this would blow over a lot smoother and he wouldnt seem like such a tart. Unfortunately, many GM's will go ahead and laugh at him and the way Rick Dipietro as well as many other young stars have come to NYI and have become overused and abused...

Once again, I cannot wait for the next few drafts as NYI will not select the top prospects coming out. They will be from MN and he will look just as foolish then as he does now.

On top of things, Lucia and the AD handled this very maturely pointing out that he has not only established himself as a top coach winning championships but also as a top coach by putting out some of the best players to come from the nation. The likes of Leopold, Paul Martin, Adam Hauser (although not a stud goalie he is still in teh AHL), Phil Kessel and many more that I am sure I have forgotten that came out of the U. Maybe not all were his recruits or spent a ton of time with him but you would think that the AD has trusted Lucia with the helm of this national title winning dynasty. To slam a coach publicly who has done more for the game than you yourself have is just total disrespect, unneeded and insane. I am sure Mr Snow will be eating his words come draft day when he has no choice but to be hypocritical and take a U of MN player or suffer the loss of a great prospect. Either way, I am fine with what has transpired and wish him luck.

I thought Snow sounded like an idiot, but then I ran into the only NHL scout (not Islanders) I know and he told me there's a lot of validity to the comments. Okposo was "rotting" at the U and there's a reason so many NHL teams have taken players early.

The WCHA is an excellent place to develop players and NHL teams have an incentive to leave them there as long as possible.

Believe it, this may hurt the U's recruiting.
Be kind. Rewind.
