The 12/11 date is correct, in Brainerd.

That's like kissing your sister

Was that before or after Patrick White came back from injury?

Pat played a little in the first, then a couple PP shifts and two shifts or so in OT. He played, but was very limited.

I overlooked that date on the schedule. I was looking later in December. Should be a very good game. Maybe I can get over there for it.

The freshman from last season has grown and had a hat trick in the scrimmage, a junior defensemen is as solid as anybody I have seen, first line junior can play at an elite level on both offense and defense, big and fast senior forward, big and not so fast senior forward can lay a lick on you, junior defensemen made 91 final 51 last season and can shoot, hit and skate. Senior defensemen 3 year starter, junior forward who can hit and is always around the net, junior forward who is tenacious and smart, has 3 assists in scrimmage...a heavy hitting checking line....not to mention a possible all state goalie or two.

both the sophomore forward and two juniors took Alex Rush and company to school in scrimmage.
HOF I think he asking for names, and I think you knew that.
All that freshman, Soph., Jr. and Sr. stuff is hard to read.
But I suppose given tryouts are going on you want to wait with that to see how things shake out, as you don't want your powerful influence to skew things.

Why such a big difference in the 2 scores?
Did EP do the same thing of splitting?
Which goalies played in which scrimmage?
Buffalo had their fifth goalie play alot in the first scrimmage but EP did outshoot the Bison 2 to 1. The second scrimmage was closer but the better of the play had to given to Buffalo. The score was 3-1 Bison when EP's first line caught the Bison's 4th line with their 1st line. I think all in attendance would have liked to see both teams top ten face off...Leddy played 1st half and Rush second...EP was clearly a deeper team.

I don't like mentioning Bison players names because in Buffalo there are people who know who I am on the bored and I would rather not deal with their criticism of my opinion. I am sure both you and RL can figure out who I am talking about as both of your kids have played against or with many of these kids.

In Buffalo it is going to be an interesting year and regarding seeding...a huge game for the Bison will be early 12-11 when they host Moorhead. If the Bison can pull off a stunner it will be tough to seed them behind the Spuds when the time comes...However, i would much rather have the team playing at a high level come playoff time then early on...BUT it might be a good time to catch the Spuds as they appear they will be much better at season's end then in the beginning.

Apparently HOFam'r hasn't seen the likes of Aaron Ness or Drew Olson

I am confused (easy for me), how can you tell 1st lines from 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. in a scrimmage when there was apparently split teams playing in a split scrimmage? :-k

Wasn't this a Brainerd Warriors thread? If you want to discuss Buffalo, start a Buffalo Thread. Its not that hard to stay on Topic people, figure it out.

I think this will be a different year for Brainerd, typically they peak early and fade towards the end of the year, I see it being the opposite this season. Peaking around playoff time, but i don't think the team just is good enough to get past Moorhead/Roseau. Semifinal loss to one of these two teams in sections.

Season Finish
CLC Conference Champions
#4 Seed in 8AA
15-10-0 Regular Season
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too

seen both of them..Ness is the best but does make a mistake or two...Olson I am not as impressed with but he has a big upside. The Buffalo kid is just plain smart, understands his abilities and weaknesses and is just plan steady....while Ness can takeover a game he sometimes is not the best Defensive defensemen...this kid is a defensemen in the sense of the word.

As for your sarcasm about my knowledge....My knowledge is based on playing sports for many years at a very high level. If you would like to learn a few things thanI would suggest to keep reading my posts.

Darn....I thought this was about high school hockey, not about how big Hofeer's ego is! It is going to be one of those years again with his ego and that of big boob's, we are all going to be enlightened! If you would believe them we of such little knowledge should count our blessings!

Hoofer, yep I took the bait, in hopes of helping you and others note that while I understand that personal attacks are perhaps a bit too juvenile - and I apologize for the same - they can also be offensive, but boasting about one's knowledge is equally as offensive. Again, sorry for my rant, and I only did so because listening to posters pounding their chest about the game that has left them behind is not consistent with the retirees that I have found to be true leaders in our sport and certainly not behavior we would like our childern to model. I understand that opinons are welcome (as that is what this post is), yet I would like to believe that the game is played on the ice - not in internet forums. Sorry for the soapbox, but I did think that the mission of this forum was healthy informative discussions about Minnesota High School Hockey - and by the way how about them Bison!

It is on a very rare occasion that anyone on this 'bored' is offended by another poster boosting of his/her knowledge. Which BTW I did not...I simply stated a fact....My rivals, CNT, RLStars, E70, the entire STC Alliance and several others may actually agree with me on that one...something I would hate to see happen!

5 Hole- You missed when I said Olson has a big upside. Seems you get a little irratated when someone doesn't think similiar thoughts as you about the Warriors. I can tell you UND has only a mild interest. Only time will tell whose better and certainly neither of these teams is dominate...however, I will be sure to make it a point to let everyone know you think the Bison are a push over...that is some knowledge i will be sure to share. In the meantime let's see how the Warriors fair this season...I think it will be interesting as there is no doubt they have some players.
