I just read one of the funniest quotes from a coach ever.

The Marshall hockey team made it their MO in recent years to run up the score on the other undermanned teams in Southwest Minnesota. All you have to do is look at the scores over the past years and they speak for themself.

During the consulation game between Marshall and Austin on Thursday, the Faber girl from Austin skated accross the Marshall blue line with about a minute left in the game, she had a hat trick at the time. The score was 6-0 Austin. She let go a slap shot that caught the upper corner to make it 7-0.

The Marshall coach was quoted in the Marshall newspaper, “I didn’t think she would be out there (against the third-team defense),” . The funny parts of the quote are that this is exactly what Marshall does to their undermanned opponents on a regular basis. The other funny part of the quote is that Marshall only plays 4 defenseman, and their first line D were on the ice when this goal was scored.

Run up the score? No, that's not our goal. We play our game no matter who we're playing. Austin is a good team, I'll tell you that. And we do have 3 lines of defense, thanks.
