Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is about 2 weeks away, so with that in mind, I'm introducing a thread that is sure to cause as much controversy as the Clinton/Bush threads of the past.
What's the best part of the holiday?
What's the best part of the holiday?
Re: Thanksgiving
Oh that poll is so unfair because it makes us choose between too many great choices!!!!!
Plus you forgot the napping!
Regardless it is my favorite holiday and I'm adding another notch on the belt in preparation and making sure my relax fit jeans are washed and ready to go.
Plus I'm refusing to vote only because I can't decide......and now I'm hungry

Thanksgiving is for football anyways.
And speaking of football, CDH plays the huge, behemouth pagans from Lakeville tonight at Griffin.
CDH got beat last year by a very solid team from Lakeville with a gutsy coach that went for 2 pts after the tying TD. He must be Catholic or at least prays a lot.
The Raiders aim to make the outcome different tonight.
Is there any TV of the football quarters?

It's time to bring this back to the top of the pile of threads that can be well.. "It's like a nightmare"! But thats another story.
I'd just like to start out by saying, I'm thankful for all the fine posters that make this forum a great break from the work day, and for Mitch and Lee for putting the time in to keep it up and going! ( less the heavy delete finger on the mouse )
So I hope you all have a great time with your families and friends, watching good football (Non-Viking), and eating all the great foods prepared.
May your travels be safe and your long weekend enjoyable
And may your table look like this
And don't forget about those that are less fortunate then we may be!

Amen CNT, may everyone have safe travels and a good holiday.
I too like Thanksgiving the best of all the holidays, the food, hanging out with the family, watching football and it's stress-free--if you're not responsible for cooking the turkey.
It's also the day when Patrick Reusse unveils his Turkey of the Year and this year should be interesting since there are so many candidates.

It's hard to win when you always lose.

Ditto
Ditto to you CNT, and all other worthwhile posters of this bored.
See, PB. Some people have something to give thanks for.
It's not all a nightmare.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL.

1) Eat a big meal tonight. You are going to want to stretch out that stomach lining real good.
2) Be sure to get a good helping of fiber today.
3) Eat a big breakfast tomorrow morning, a common mistake by even the best eaters is to purge yourself before the big event. Keeping that stomach stretched out is imperative for mass consumption subsequent comfort.
4) If alcohol is in the equation go with stiff mixed drinks, this is a day where beer's volume and carbonation can't get in the way.

Excellent advice IS.
Eats easy to see that you are a veteran Turkeryday guy who knows how to get it done.
I guess ole puckster is right. I need to take a break from all of this negativity.
ILaN can rest for a few days during this joyous holiday that people should observe primarily by reflecting on how good thay have it ..............and how bad it is to be a Democrat.
Have a good one all!!
