What team do you think will have the Money to sign Torri Hunter to a new contract befor next season, or do think the Twins will resign him?

If he isn't a Twin, he'll be a Ranger. But, he'll be a Twin.

IMO there is no way the Twins will pay the $......but I do agree with TX.

He is on his way to my boys in blue, the Yankees. Seriously, who else is gonna pay top dollar for an aging center fielder. (though he does still have some good years left I'm sure)

Yankees should get Andruw Jones.

Torii will hopefully be in a Twins uni, if not he is a Ranger.

We don't want Andrew, look at the horrible numbers he put up this year. If anything, they could just stick with Melky Cabrera who has come along nicely and put up decent numbers. They might have a log jam in the outfield otherwise since they are already carrying Damon, Cabrera, Matsui, and Abreu and trying to get all of them at bats. Of course, I wounln't be heartbroken if they shipped Damon or Abreu.

Hunter

Hunter could be in a Cubs uniform next year. Torii in Center for 2 or 3 years and then move to Right field.

I read in the Star Tribune he had no interest in playing in Texas even with his home there and all..

You say we? But yet you don't know that Abreu is a FA after this year and is as good as gone...

Andruw had a bad year this year. Have you not looked at his entire career? Or the fact that his glove/arm/legs are worth it by themselves? He can bat 7th in the lineup for NY and do just fine. He'll come at a discount based on this year. Mike Cameron? Ok, lets just fill the outfield with another aging player. I wouldn't mind seeing them stay with Melky and keeping the trend they have started of bringing guys up, but if they are going to sign someone, please let it be Andruw.

As far as Damon, I'm torn on him. I think Cano could be a fine leadoff hitter and obviously Melky is better in the OF, but Damon brings a flair and a knowledge of the game like they had when Bernie was around and I'm not sure if they can just ship that off when they are bringing in these young guys. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him.

Props to you, I did not realize that he was a FA after this season, thought he was on for one more. The reason I say that I don't think they should go for Jones is because I woulr rather see Hunter out there. I guess that's just my bias pulling through. Damon, well I'm just not sold on him, never have been. He has been hurt just about every year I believe and while he does bring some flair, I believe Hunter would bring that kind of energy as well. Cano to leadoff is definately an interesting move and could certainly be a good one. They could possible use both Hunter and Jones depending on what's going on with Matsui's knee as he could end up being regulated to a DH. However that leaves out Giambi, who I see them moving to acquire both a hitting and defensive minding first base-man, though the combination of Doug (not even taking a guess at the spelling of the last name) at first and Giambi at DH has seen some positive results.

The White Sox will make a run at him, they need to get back to respectability and have a potent lineup. I listened to their broadcasts most of the season and they talked highly of him and being a guy they'd look at, he's also a type of player Guillen loves. The Dodgers are another team with enough money and need at CF to make a run at Hunter.
