Kangas turned 20 in May. I think (??) that makes him too old to play Juniors so it's he either goes to the Gophers or to "old guy" hockey.

If he turned 20 in May, then he would be eligible for another year of junior hockey. Anyone who turned 20 after Jan 1st 2007 is eligible to play junior hockey next season.

Definitely should be in the college forum, especially since Kangas graduated in 2005.

Is there anything wrong with that? We have a lot of homegrown talent and Lucia does a great job of getting the top notch talent to come to the U.

Too bad most of them sold out their hometowns in highschool, if not before then. It drives me crazy the gophers recruit these guys.

Alot of them do it under the advice of the college coach or at least that is what is impressed upon me. By the way, what's wrong with leaving a high school team to join a USHL team for example. If a player is putting himself against tougher competition so that he can improve, I really don't see anything wrong with that.

Cant wait to see how Kangas fairs in his first couple of games from what I have heard tho the Frazee Kangas playing time is 2:1 which is ridiculous because Frazee played almost 50% of his freshman games and he struggled almost the whole year. Kangas should be getting a lot of ice time this year.
