Tailgating

With the football season upon us I thought I might share probably the best brat recipe I have ever had.

This makes 20-25 brat.

Take your brats and grill them up until they brown. Do not fully cook. Set aside.
Meanwhile Place a cheap foil pan on grill and mix together the following

3 onions
3 sticks of butter
3 cans of beer ( I used Schells Firebrick)
3-5 sliced fresh jalapenos I don't seed them but I like the heat.
Stir this until the butter melts
Add your brats back in along with 1-2 large jars of sauerkraut
close the grill and let these simmer at least an hour stirring when you feel like it. I usually let them go for a couple of hours while enjoying Firebricks with friends. You never have to worry about burning these.

whewwww! I thought you said Hulda instead of Helga at first and my initial reaction was, I knew Grandma Hulda had a wild side and discerning taste but........you TWO?? Glad I mis-read that.
