This kid had six empty net goals last year along with eight goals with an actual goalie in net. The EP student section better start practicing "Mr.Hockey" chants for this young man because "Dirty" Dave Meyer
will defenitely be a strong contender. I also heard hes a nationally ranked roller hockey player. If im a player going up against Meyer, I would whip out the white flag cause nobody stands a chance facing Meyers strength, nastiness, speed, and looks
Doubt this is a kid. Roller hockey player? Kids call it inline. This person is a throw back to the Scott Olson (inventor of rollerblades) days..........Scott invented rollerblades in the early 80s or so.

EP parent maybe?

With your team up one or two goals and the opposing teams net empty, theres no other player that i'd want out there more than dirty dave. This kid is a stud at puttin the icing on the cake, and his goal celebrations are quite entertaining too!
this is very true when eden prairie played grand rapids in the edina holiday tounrnament. Meyers scored an EN and went bonkers.... the game was over there was i think 3 seconds left. But it does take a lot of skill to hit a net at the other end of the ice when your eyes are closed! I heard he spends a month or so in florida every year playing with the Florida Roller Gators (FHSRHL- Florida High School Summer Roller Hockey League) I have heard so many great things about this kids. I hear he will be a great captain, also I bet he is a great role model for younger kids off the ice.

This is how i see things happening......

1. Burnsville: Top line in conference for sure...maybe in the state, so they have firepower. Defense loses big players but they are not bad. Im guessing they win the confernce in a close race by out scoring opponents. They will have fun in sections next year too w/ edina, aha, jefferson
2. EP: This team always reloads with solid players (helps when you have the biggest school in the state). Solid defense and some key fowards will push team towards a good record.
3. Rosemount: Im guessing this team will start out hot first time through teams in conference play and cool down the second time through. Hopefully they will have a better non-confernce record this year as well. Lots of returners=experince, which will hopefully translate into wins for the Irish
4. Jefferson: Had one of the younger teams in the conference last year....lose star foward but thats about it. The Jags always seems to have a core of talented players....fowards i think we'll be solid, defense a little shakey, goaltending will be questionable. It will be a hit or miss year for the boys in blue i think....hopefully they can get the roudy jag fans back in the seats of BIG
5. Eastview: This team is a talented younger team. They had a really up and down year last year. I see them doing the same in '08. Solid fowards lead by Maloney (well potentially anyways) sophmore O'shea in net....we'll see what happens with the lightning
6. Lakeville North: Truly i believe after the top 5 teams in the lake the talent of the teams drop significantly......anyway north looks like it may have descent defense with a solid net behind them but i dont know if they will score enough goals to top dominant offensive teams like b'ville.
7. Lakeville South: Along with Jefferson a young team last year....i dont know if the young guys will still be that much better next year but hey, they have yumosaklar...thats nice
8. Eagan: you can alternate these guys with chaska as far as standings go but lets see......I dont know its high school hockey so i guess any team can win if they put their heart to it.....and if not well bummer
9. Chaska: Yea you could put them at 8 if you want...big deal. Ugh well they pretty much lost the majority of their team, their best young player is gone so ________ (i really dont know what to say so you can fill in the blank yourself)
10. Kennedy: Well lets put it this way, if they beat Jefferson one time next year it will be considered a great season for the Eagles. Otherwise i heard their girls basketball teams is pretty good so i guess their fans (if any) can watch them "ball it up" (did i say that right, i wouldn't know i played hockey)

I think bisquit is right on. Losing Friedman hurts. I don't have high expectations for that team.

I agree with pretty much everything said here..except i dont think EP will be that high with the loss of the senior class which will hurt them. Although they do have their younger core but i just dont see them carrying them with teams like Burnsville, Rosemount, and sure throw in EV and Jefferson. With all that said i'd bump up Rosemount to either 1 or 2 and bump EP back to maybe 3 or 4

Burnsville is a one line team. They lost a couple of good D off last year's team. Goalie??? Stop that first line and you stop their team.

Rosemount might be the most talented overall. However, they seem somewhat dysfunctional. They just don't seem to keep it together over the long haul. I like them, but don't see their underachiever character changing.

Jefferson will be mediocre this year. However, they could surprise people.

Eastview loses Friedman and are somewhat of a Dr. Jeckel/Mr. Hyde team. Feinhage is a stud D. Maloney is a nice player.

EP losses a lot of fire power from last year's team. Vranek signed the big deal with Buffalo so he is set. Four D that were Advance 51 kids +.
Maybe the best overall D core in the state? Goalie: undecided

Eastview is ready to have another great year, something that hasnt happened for a couple years. With D1 talent in Fienhage (as of 7/31 a UND recruit) and D1 talent in Maloney who is gaining a lot of colleges attention, i think this team is going to go a long way, returning a lot of starters and a goalie who was young last year but has a great returning core of D men including fienhage to help him out, friedman may also be back so we will have to wait and see what happens, i think they are going to be tops in the conference along with a good Burnsville team...on eastview also expect a big year from freshman (who played as an 8th grader last year) Max Smith, senior forwards Garrick Perry and Jared Larson, and skilled defenseman Nick Gorski to add depth

Like last year, goaltending is the question mark. If you get solid play there, you may be right.

Pro Scout? Yea right! Not a chance in real life but maybe in your dreams.
