Younghans would be great, by there is no chance he will be named the coach. The AD is looking at teachers first. Look for it to be a current high school head coach from the east side of the river.

there is talk that Tavis Macmillan the former head coach for the Alaska Nanooks of the CCHA who suddenly resigned this spring could be the new head hockey coach at Minnetonka...anyone else hearing this?

No offense to Tonka types. I can't see coaching at Minnetonka as a stepping stone to greater levels of coaching.

Remember: Pat Quinn is still un-signed. Up the high school coaching pay by $2,996,000 and you might get him.

He's already been a Division I coach at Alaska-Fairbanks, so not necessarily a stepping stone. It is reasonable to assume that in addition to a teaching/coaching salary, that there are some incentives that will be added to the deal. In total, it could easily be as good as a mid to lower level DI program.

Plus, he has small children, so there would be some attraction to not being on the road 24/7.

I heard last night that a.d. also offered job to Jim Hillman recently and he also rejected it. Maybe macmillan is the guy now? It sounds as if the "inner circle" is getting restless more and more everyday.
