If they're going to get going, they better do it pretty damn soon. There is no breather in the schedule from now until the end of July when they play the Royals again. Every series in between is against a team within a couple of games of .500 (or better), and all of them have a realistic shot at a playoff spot.

I think (hope) good things are coming, starting tonight. The game against Hudson makes me a little nervous - he usually owns the Twins - but I'll go out on a limb and call a Twins' sweep here.

I love how everyone calls a sweep. Twins will be lucky to win 1 out of 3.

For the record - I don't believe I've called for a sweep yet this year (although if I did, I'm sure somebody will dig it up and bust my balls over it), but now that Mauer has a couple of games back in him, he should warm up a little bit and that'll provide more RBI opportunities for the heart of the order. I think it'll pay off.

They've still got to come up with something for the bottom 4 of the order though.

This is a big series for both teams. The Braves and Twins are struggling right now. Hate to say it but I think the Braves will sweep. Lets hope the Twins prove me wrong.

I f***in' knew it.

Although, I should mention that I was at the yard for that series and it was before I knew what a jinx I would be on the ballclub this season.

I spent most of the night watching my favorite NBA team lose a heartbreaker in game three. But I did see some of the game. Slowey was good again. Hunter continues to drive the ball the other way. Luis Castillo is an All-Star and a gold glove winner this year. If Silva still throws tomorrow after his wife gave birth today, he will need to keep the ball down. Good luck, Carlos. Also, congrats to Juan Rincon and Carlos Silva on each having a new baby born today.

Twins are starting to hit again, Silva has looked like the Carlos of 2005 in two of his last three starts. Things are looking up.
