Fantasy Football

Post by Govs93 »

I was clicking around on Yahoo and thought it was funny that they already had opened fantasy football registration... until I saw that damn near every decent available online draft time was already gone. The only times that were available near the start of the season were either early morning, or late afternoon, and all weekends were gone completely.

I assume that since there was plenty of interest in fantasy baseball here, there would have to be at least as much interest in football, so I hastily threw a league together, just to secure a semi-decent draft time (which I'm not all that thrilled with either, but it was the best available IMO). If somebody else wants to put something together at another time or site or skip it altogether, that's fine with me - I'll just delete this one. Otherwise, here's the league that currently serving as a place holder:

I wouldn't miss the chance to dominate you in football as well as baseball govs.

Mike Redmond only plays baseball... you can't pick him up in football to try and save you.

My apologies - Redmond was Verb's brilliant move. Since I'm such an attention draw to both of you, I guess I'm starting to get you confused.

In your case I probably should have said Jason Giambi instead. :D

Any chance of moving the draft? Like to say, August 26th or something? Weeknights just don't work well for me that week. (Freshman orientation stuff that I have to help organize)

Screw the frosh... let them learn at the School of Hard Knocks like I did!

Personally, I can make the 26th work if everybody else is willing. Thoughts everybody?

Just because I think it's hilarious that Fantasy Football is already available, I renewed the Minnhock league from last year. I set the draft for Tuesday, August 26 @ 8:00, so hurry and sign up - time's a wastin'.

I figured I'd hold out to give you guys a chance - unlike the baseball league, but I have to show ya'll what's up with the pigskin as well.
