New Goalie for the Indian's?

Post by cannon »

Anyone know anything about this new kid that Rapids got from the Cities?
I don't even know his name but the talk is he might be a contender between the pipes!?

Rumor was he's a freshman from Maple Grove, played JV last season, and is a giant. That's all coming from the kids at the rink this past spring.
Haven't seen him to describe giant, and honestly don't know his name. The other rumor is he's a pretty decent football player.

The kid is a middle linebacker I hear, and a decent goalie. My guess is, JV.

Saw the guy yesterday.....He looks pretty well put together..If he hits as tough as he looks the Indian football team will be pretty excited! How's his head?

Tabaka and Figgins. Tabaka is small and very quick and Figgins is big and very solid. both are pretty equal, but I would have to give the nod to Tabaka.

My guess is that they will split time for the 1st half of the season until one seperates from the other. If either falters, don't discount the jv goalies who should be Larson, Foss and big kid from Maple Grove. I would expect Tabaka to seize the opportunity and take control by mid season.

If the Maple Grove goalie is any good, he'll get the spot, otherwise they are better off putting Sparen in the net.

I've heard a rumor that the kid from Maple Grove didn't make the Maple Grove J.V. team last year. It's just a rumor, but does anyone know if its true??

Both of Maple Grove's JV goalies are living in Maple Grove right now, and both senior goalies graduated. I believe this kid played Junior Gold last year. He definately did not play JV.

Well he is full of crap then. I confirmed that both JV goalies are still in Maple Grove. Looks like GR got a Junior Gold goaltender.

his relativers say he tried out for maple groves' jv team and didn't make it. He was too old for bantams. so he didn't play at all last year.

it seems like alot of you have no idea who i am. i am the new kid for GR. this mg goalie is probably a PLEASE BAN ME who i forgot his name and didnt make it himself. i in fact DID make it onto JV, and you can ask Stefano etc about it. but after like the third try out my doctor called some authority figure and told them that i was not supposed to play this year because of a recent "hockey puck to the throat" incident where i was hospitalized for 2 weeks in a coma. alot of the goalies at MG did not like me the best because they were simply jealous of the fact that i was only in ninth grade and twice their size. so JUST LIKE GR, they started stupid rumors. the most popular one was i was on steroids. they got pretty creative actually.

so when people say i didnt make it, they are right. when people say i DID make it, they are also right. and as for the thing about me being full of crap, i never once said anything about my team last season. i made sure people knew about me being hospitalized and unable to play.

so for anybody that has any questions and wants the truthful answer ask me. dont ask the middlemen.

What do all you Rapids folks think about that...
Do any of ya know the guy yet ?

Also Crush what made you move from MG to GR in the 1st place? not that it's not a great move to one of the most beautiful forested Lake country area's in MN..... ya just don't see it happen that much.

I hope your new teammates welcome you to the locker room better than you have been welcomed here. Good Luck to you at tryouts.

i have talked to alot of the hockey players around here and they are pretty cool guys for the most part. idk any of these guys on here granted.

its a long story why i moved here, but bottom line its because of my moms job. it was bound to happen sooner or later, but i had to move early and am living with my grandparents. basically i got in a bad situation before football last year where my ex-gf tried to jump me and i ended up in self defense pulling a blade out and using it. i got hit in the head with a bat and jumped, but i came out in better shape than the rest. (8 guys). and just recently they trashed my house because i am testifying against them, and i obviously am the only witness that will testify against them. they all except one had felonies on their belt. so for my safety i moved. i am a good kid though dont get me wrong.

as for the tryouts i havent played in a year, so i guess we will just see how i do! im happy with whatever i make this year, i just want to play hockey.

That's quite a tale. Good luck this year. A word of advice, you may not want to be so forthcoming with things like "pulling out a blade" or "taking a bat to the head" and "8 guys". Kids around here may think you're a story teller. Good luck though.
