Games near St. Cloud

Post by MNRinkRat »

I just moved to the St. Cloud area and was wondering if anyone knew if there would be any good games at any level going on in the area within the next season? Also does Little Falls play any good teams at home next season, thats not to far away.

Up To the Barnyard

Post by northwoods oldtimer »

If you do not mind the drive up HWY 10 take in some of the Barnyard action. they usually land a handfull of good games up there with a decent shot to see teams like Moorhead, Duluth East, Cloquet, Grand Rapids, etc. coming to lock up with Brainerd. No schedule out yet but ckeck the mshsl web site later on.

Lucky you!! you don't have to wait that long, you have the National select 17's in your back yard coming up this summer July 7-13.
That will be some excellent hockey.
Enjoy!

Ok, thanks. I checked out Brainerd at Cloquet last season. Pretty good game.

Is that at the National Hockey Center? Do you have any links to a roster or something.

A little longer of a wait but Little Falls and Apollo play twice a year during the winter season if it's Little Falls you're interested in seeing. There's always some good hockey played during the Granite City Classic right around Christmas time. Cathedral is also a very fun team to watch and should be pretty good next year.

Sweet, that should be a good game. I'm thinking Moorhead v.s. Roseau

there's also plenty of college hockey in the area. D1 St. Cloud State, of course, but also D3 St. John's University coached by Miracle on Ice team member John Harrington uses St. Cloud as their home ice.
