D4/D8 combo? Any legs
Looking on the D4 website, there is a proposal to combine D4 and D8 by geography for PW & BTM's. Any news on this? Is it a possibilty?

I heard that D-4 and D-8 would merge into geographical divisions for the regular season, but then go back into their respective Districts for the post season playoffs. I like the idea of less travel for everyone during the season. I do forsee a possible problem for District seedings though at the end of the year.
D4/D8 Districts
The idea is to have d4 and d8 teams go back to their districts at the end of the season. A vote by coaches would seed the top 4 teams and the remaining teams would play a one game play off for the remaining 4 seeds to districts(this is only a proposal). If this works look for the teams in the north to go to this. I believe this a move by MN Hockey to move toward a playoff system like HS. AA and A. The B state tournament is a bogus tournament anyway.
