Roseau Bantam A's

Post by rozofan »

Roseau Bantam A's will be a great team next. It will be roughly the same team as last year in Peewee A's. They took 4th in state and finished with a 37-4 record.

EP - Again will be a dominate force
Jefferson - 7 returning players including goalie
Edina - Youth will continue to do well
Centennial - State Championship game for 3 years in a row?

Yeah, Jefferson will not have any first year players on the team next year. They will be a hell of a team next year.

expect wayzata, ep and edina to be at the top all year. Lakeville south and stillwater also had very good peewee A seasons in 05 06.

Buckey's list is right on.

I assume St Cloud will stick w one A team which moves them up considerably over their PW teams from last year. Jefferson is another team that could rise if they continue to get players from Kennedy. Lots of programs are facing losing their top players to HS which will impact the teams.

Top 10 Teams (assuming key players stay):

EP, Wayzata, St Cloud, Edina, Roseau, Stillwater, Lakeville So, Duluth East, Blaine, Woodbury.

Next in line: Rochester, WBL, Chaska, Jefferson, Centennial, Maple Grove, Moorhead

Let the whining begin.

White Bear will have a solid squad, especially if Max Birkinbine stays. They will also be a solid team without him with 3 returners and of course with the help of great coaching in Scott Hambly and his assistants. Should be alot better than when they were Peewees.

roseau will have an awsome first line just like in pee wees with omdahl, connell, and baumgartener.

edina will also have a very good first line with sit and walker, but still not as good as roseau's first line.

E.P. will be the team to beat. 5 returning players and a loaded b team. Wayzata will be strong. No offense to Roseau but one line will not get it done against ep. Replay of 2006 peewee state, not enough horsepower to stick with the big 3. Edina, wayzata ep, clearly at the top.

I agree, EP will be the team to beat...Strong and big as usual. Edina will be solid too as they have that 1st line with walker, sit, van voorhis, and everson. Wayzata should also have a good team, along with lakeville south.

Hey Roseau guys, what is the chance the big Omdahl kid will be moving up to fill a spot on Roseau Varsity? I did see they had a young man from the 9th grade playing Varsity this season who was pretty darn good.

North Country favorites for 2007-2008:
Duluth East
Roseau
Bemidji
Grand Rapids
Hibbing
Moorhead

bemidge isnt that good, the only reason they made it to state was becasue once they got out of the district (3 teams went) it was pretty much a cake walk from there, theres not really any teams around D16 that can even compete with D16. simple as that

Duluth East was not good in PeeWee's two years ago, I don't know how they will be next year. Like everyone else has said, E.P., Edina, Wayzata, Lakeville South, Grand Rapids, and Roseau will all be good.

Great point highshoolhockeyfan. If the region format stays the same as this year, only 2 of edina ep and wayzata will make it to state... that's definitely not right.

Next years regions changes- 6-4-1 are in the same region.
EP, Edina from 6 and who knows from 4- New prauge-Austin?? and who knows from 1- Highland-Como?? Basically both EP and Edina should be there, Wayzata does not have to go through them.

So what are you saying, the addition of Mueller suddenly makes Jefferson a contendor?

Tim's going back to Jefferson. Hmm, sounds good for them. Now they definitely won't have any first years. Team to reckon with.
