What is the Jr gold B state tournament look like??

Wow, D-8 teams just raping the metro. 12 goals from the 2 D-8 teams, 12 goals by the 6 metro teams.

Well I didn't see the Woodbury game but IGH throttled Eden Prairie. EP got a lucky 2nd goal and the third was a nice shot from in close... a result of a terrible play of the IGH D-man but it didn't matter because the game was all but over.

Props to the IGH coach for not trying to run up the score by putting his top line out there for nearly the entire 3rd period. They played a few shifts, but not many and I don't believe the started a single power play in the 3rd.

And I would like to add that the officiating was terrible! I almost forgot it was hockey; considering players were barely allowed to hit. Just brutal calls by the stripes.

to be fair, the D-8 teams played some weaker teams, sure the twelve goals are impressive, but i dont think that it is a truely fair assesment of their skill.

I have to say that the best game of the day was TARTAN VS RAVE

Both teams were flying up and down the ice. It could of gone either way. Rave got 2 lucky goals and Tartan's goal was nice. They earned their goal.
I thought both teams played well and it could have gone either way. I thought the refs were good but the goal judges sucked. They were just enjoying their free money sitting back there.

Someone should tell them to watch the same game. They were like 5 seconds late on every goal in the Woodbury game.

I thought it was good hockey today and i look forward to watching tomorrow's games

why won't you just leave it that D8 is the equal of metro. 2 teams in the final 4. If metro had beat those teams that bad you would have called it a domination!
Also why are some teams just playing the top 2 lines. Its JRGB for christsakes, give these kids some ice time it may be their last chance. Come on coaches is it your game or the boys. Some of those 3rd lines have cobwebs growing on them. Chaska you are exempt, you need to bring more skaters to the game.

well steichen, scored, yet another hat trick. that's like his 6th or 7th this year. Franchise...i was wondering if you enjoy letting in fluke goals with 5 minutes left? just so you know, you may wanna make sure you have it covered next time, before you curl up in a ball like a queer. steichen would light your ass up, cuz he is in fact, a BOSS...too bad we don't get a chance to because you're a garbage goalie and garbage team... have fun in the losers bracket tomorrow.

yea im gonna have to say that it wasnt the game i was expecting to play franchise..... i knew you guys were good but wow do you guys have a hell of a fore check....

you have potential to win out and we did none of he words highlighted but it was a pretty good come back i got to say.....

so i just want to end the battle of all battles (its gone on since around the first of the year or even before) but i do have to say that i was on the ice for both chaska goals....the first was a 2 on 1(me) and the kid made a nice pass to the farside kid to a completely open net and the second where the shot from the point hit 3 or 4 players and rolled up our goalies arm and bounce in..

and i think that a goal worked for and one that is earned from skill is the best but i think i speak for anyone who plays this game that a win is a win

i would also like to wish you guys the best of luck the rest of the tourny and i hope you walk with consolation

It was a great game. Good luck buffalo I had a lot of fun. I think most would agree I'm not a garbage I'm not a garbage goalie I hope bufflo would agree with me they are a good team and I stopped a lot of their good shots haha sorry but I don't give a crap about steichen or anyone else. I'm having a great time at state! Go buffalo

franchise how did that last goal go in? It kinda looked like one of your own guys might of knocked it in.

Dont worry about dangles they are upset about what you said about earlier on here travis it pissed a few guys off.

I don't care about igh... a win is a win and congrats to buffalo! And in the locker room a kid said it went off of him into the net but ya know oh well stuff like that happens all the time, I thought I played pretty well and only "fluke" went in so oh well, we play ep tomorrow and we will be ready....end of story. We played alright but we couldn't score on their goalie. The game was over after they scored their 1st. Everyone on our team knew it because we couldn't score to save our lives. I just wished that we would of scored a effing goal cuz ep could not score on me. Go buffalo haha.

That was the final, too bad you couldn't stay for the rest of the game. Just wondering which player was that two-handed goalie-stick tomahawk aimed at? Because you missed them both and hit your own guy.

And In response to we couldn't score on you...we could...we did...3 times. And you guys "won the brawl" because our team has some sense and decided getting suspended for the last game of the year wasn't worth it. So it ended up being 2 on 6 in the corner.

16 or 18 i didnt care and i did hit them, you wouldnt know. you were probably the kid on the bench with the broken wrist talking all that stuff, just another short little skinny kid talking because hes safe. do you realize that you couldnt score? i stoned you guys so many times oh man it was nice especially after i get nailed by 16. it was nice stopping all those odd man rushes over and over again. yea you scored 3 times but the game was already over everyone had already given up...dont give yourself too much credit there slugger

i encourage any team to call steichen a ginger... it seems to spark him to score more goals..4 goals tonight for the steichenator. Tomorrow should be an amazing game...

As a parent of one of chaska's captains on last years state tournament jr gold b team i would like to personally apoligize to everyone particapating in this years tournament for the conduct of this years team at the state tournament.this is truely a black eye for chaska hockey. were was the leadership on this team. something is really wrong when you decide to start a fight just because your losing. for the players that did not have a hand in this congratulations on a good season for everyone else shame on you, not the way to finish the season.

Well said GACO! Alot of us have worked very hard to help clean up Jr Gold hockey, and what I saw was absolutely ridiculous. Its to bad the acts of a few IDIOTS sometimes gets more PR than the very good hockey that gets played. All I can say is good luck Chaska on trying to get rid of that Rep.
As far as the IDIOTS: If thats the way you guys wanted to remember your last game of high school hockey .. you shouldn't have been playing. Scotty(franchise), I cant believe you lowered yourself to that level .. that was one of the most classless things I have seen in a long time. I hope somewhere down the line in life, you figure that out and can help another out before they do somthing that stupid.
This isn't just a hockey game .. there was family members, friends and younger players watching that. There are also kids coming after you in Jr Gold that might have to play through that Rep. If you were seriously proud of your and some of your teammates action .. than I guess I gave you to much credit.

On a better thought ... I thought the games have been amazing and I'm hoping for some of the same tomorrow. Good luck to all and lets to remember to play this game we love, the way its suppose to be played.

i'll be at the woodbury buffalo game. I wouldn't care if either team won. they are both very good. i just feel through experience that buffalo is a very strong team.. good luck tomorrow to both teams.

And besides the point it was 0-0 in the 3rd and you had given up? Because it was already over?

And for all you Chaska people that did not participate in the fight (I know I talked to a few on the ice) thanks for a great game today, it was even up until halfway through the third and could have gone either way.

It was dumb but I did it, oh well...it was a combination of frusteration with the game, playing well and not having the results I wanted, getting nailed earlier in the game, the last game I will most likely ever play.oh well its done with, it was a heat of the moment thing and I apologize to everyone who took offense to my actions.

i'm sorry if you feel that your actions were okay because it brought shame to the entire sport of hockey today. i'm glad you guys like to make fun of the color of my hair saying i can't be any good at hockey but this entire weekend i've kept my mouth shut and i basically proven you wrong with my performance.

woodbury and buffalo tomorrow should be a great matchup, there's not doubt in my mind that both teams could be playing in the championship game tomorrow. good luck to both teams.

tonight when #5 from buffalo came up to me after the game was one of the classiest things i've seen this entire year and i would just like to say thanks to him. it was an amazing game, probably one of our toughest matchups all year long.
