Blaine takes this 5-2
The bengals have to much offense and anoka wont be able to handle it
Baudette+Lynch=dynamic duo

Anoka looked really average against Maple Grove. Fact is, Maple Grove looked even worse. How they hell MG was a #2 seed is beyond me. I don't see Anoka staying within 3 goals of Blaine. And Blaine isn't anything special this year. Last year was their year, so they could easily be 2 and out at state. But I'll be cheering for them either way...

Well maybe he got scared? Seeing that the Bengals had posted 7 in the first period was worried his hornets might have to play them... Anyway the game should still go on tomorrow night and be fun to watch..

Blaine will upset Holy Angels

Blaine is going to upset Holy Angel and go to the state final where they will play Edina. That should be a good match up.

This should be a great game to watch. I expect Blaine to win but I would love to see Anoka come out of this section. Eason needs to come up big, but I just don't see that happening.

About the Maple Grove comment, MG has 2 players out with broken wrists, and one playing with a broken wrist. Its tough to win like that, but its playoffs!

Hornet fans would love that wouldn't they? Come on if you go on to win and be the best, why not beat the best in the process? Why hope to beat a wimpy team for it?

PuckHog99 wrote:Lots of Belisle, Oneil action going on. Find it hard to beleive Blaine will be able to stop both of them when there on seperate lines. Baudette couldn't do anything against Anoka last year against Anoka's same defense. I'm taking Anoka 4-3. Blaines not any better than last years team, and only beat Anoka somewhere aroun 6-3 last year. Anoka's team this year is more than double what it was last year.
PuckHog99 wrote:First things first... I don't even think Anoka is that great of a team! I just hate how people talk on here like they know hockey when they really dont. Blaine is not that great of a team, this game really could have went either way. GET your facts straight before you talk AGAIN.... the Armstrong Anoka game was nothing but a battle of special teams, the entire game was powerplays and penaltie kills literally. Then the Wayzata game HAHa "barely slipped by" Anoka led 4-1 throughout third period, Wayzata scored two goals in the last 30 seconds... "barely slipped by".......................... ](*,) NIce comment
PuckHog99 wrote:Your stats are a little off (powerplay/penalty kill)........but thats ok, will let you feel smart. Besides the style of play changed after the 5th goal, if you know anything about hockey you'l know you play a bit more OFFENSIVE aka float to try and score when the game is out of reach WHICH would result in 3 MORE goals that would hurt a players plus minus even more. A person who bases a players talent on their plus minus of one game without looking at how this game ended up is a complete fool.

Blaine really is overrated, I guarantee they don't make it to the state tournament.
Beaudette and Lynch would take almost any line mate duo in the state offensively!! Johnson and Schaber aren't slouches either, can you say Explosive Offense. You are a complete idiot and just need to face the facts that ANOKA BLOWS!!! And can't compete with Blaine in any game.

None of Anoka's lines match up with Blaine's but maybe the 3rd lines... and thats even an if!

Your Hilarious RETARD!!! *~Blaine's going to State~*

Yea, but they can't because no one wants to play with losers. Also, if Blaine did happen to knock off the 'Angels, I would tip my hat to them and give them props, yes.

They'd also be good if they had a better coach.

How could you recruit kids to sit in the box?

Anybody log on to Crystal Clear Sports yet to see if there's video or just audio?

I'm already at the rink, but I am curious.

Blaine 3 :D

Anoka 2  F/OT

This game was a thriller. Good saves both ways. Both teams had good chances late in the third and into overtime. Blaine had multiple chances in the earlier periods but couldn't convert. Hopefully Blaine can get back to converting on their chances because they will be in trouble next week if they don't.
