Notterman, stop talking up your son

Pretty sure Notterman is Sioux Fan.

Don't worry many people seem to make the mistake that SEMinnHockeyNut is Siouxfan and SiouxFan is SEMinnHockeyNut, but then they are corrected...

Actually Notermann's dad is SiouxFan. Most people know that on here. And I agree with SEMinnHockeyNut, back then they had way more talent then the teams in Rochester have now. Sure there are individuals but not the team talent they used to have.

Mayo and the Boston Red Sox are very similar. They both cry about everything and they will never admit the other team is better when they usually are. (Century/Yankees)

I'll keep that in mind when century loses everyone on their team next year. Also Knutson if he does go to juniors. Everyone will by crying and complaining from Century. After this year they've got nothing in athletics for a bit.

Thauwald needs to get out of Rochester or he will have no one to play with.

I am not sure that Mayo will only have Thauwald....didn't Tom Alexander (another sophmore) have 20 goals as well? Down the stretch he looked like the better player for Mayo anyway. If he grows into the lanky frame and fills out he could end up better than his brother Matt.

Mayo also has some other guys such as Mitch Anderson senior defense next year; Rick Weber started to come on at the end of the year.
I still think Flott Whitney Fisher have some upside as well. Some other guys show promise - Buske Oetliker Powers...I thought Schultz did ok against Century on Monday night. Where was he all year? Any JV guys show promise?

You also never know how a guy might improve from year to year.
Look at how good Bryce Stevens got from junior to senior year.

SEMinnHockeyNut, the point earlier was Century loses everything, Mayo loses almost nothing, so Mayo will dominate Century next year... Gimme a break. Granted Alexander is good as well, but Mayo has no one that Century can't match up against evenly next year. You bring up some up and comming promising guys true, but that's the case with every team jeesh. If so and so grows and fills out etc, that's true for all the younger guys
Mayo loses Donahue as well don't forget. All year long, people were saying he's 'the only reason' Mayo won half their games. It's hard to say at this point, but I bet Mayo will have more success next year, and Century less so for sure. JM will be hurting. My only point is Mayo is not likely to 'dominate' like you guys are saying...

No certainly not dominate and Century has nice Bantam guys coming, but will lose a bulk of their experience, scoring, etc.

JM Returns:
Big Nine Overall
Player School G A Pts G A Pts
Brian Ness JM 5 6 11 6 10 16
Erik Furness JM 3 7 10 6 7 13
Chad Grinhaug JM 5 2 7 6 4 10
Sebastian Gjertsen JM 1 0 1 3 0 3
Max Foley JM 0 1 1 1 2 3
Ben Pirius JM 0 2 2 0 3 3
Derick Hovick JM 0 1 1 0 1 1
Devon Farlow JM 0 0 0 0 1 1
Also loses Pirius in net.

Mayo Returns:
Big Nine Overall
Player School G A Pts G A Pts
Charlie Thauwald Mayo 9 11 20 21 18 39
Tom Alexander Mayo 14 9 23 20 14 34
Mitch Anderson Mayo 1 12 13 1 20 21
Alex Whitney Mayo 3 2 5 5 4 9
Myles Flott Mayo 1 5 6 3 6 9
Garrett Powers Mayo 3 3 6 3 5 8
Rick Weber Mayo 1 2 3 1 3 4
Brad Fisher Mayo 1 2 3 1 2 3
Travis Schubauer Mayo 0 2 2 0 3 3
Scott Gilbertson Mayo 1 0 1 1 0 1
Chris Goslee Mayo 0 1 1 0 1 1
Kevin Oetliker Mayo 0 0 0 0 1 1
Loses Donohue but Steinmetz and Yaggy have potential

Century Returns:
Big Nine Overall
Player School G A Pts G A Pts
Ryan Knutson Century 10 7 17 20 9 29 (jr. but some say he is gone)
Joe Faupel Century 14 9 23 17 11 28
Mitchell Arens Century 8 12 20 10 13 23
Matt Madden Century 4 12 16 5 14 19
Eric Ordahl Century 5 6 11 5 8 13
Anthony Hahn Century 3 0 3 4 0 4
Chris Olofson Century 0 1 1 0 2 2
David VanOosten Century 1 0 1 1 0 1
Josh Borgmann Century 0 1 1 0 1 1
Ewing will be back

It looks like JM will really be hurting.

If Knutson leaves Century will return 91 varsity pts, plus the heart and soul of the team and some tremendous team players - great role players.

Mayo returns 130 varsity pts, but loses Donohue. The defense better mature quickly to help goaltending getting their first taste of varsity hockey (both appeared in one game this year).
