Sounds like a pretty pathetic effort by the East Siders...played some real disciplined hockey

That was a terrible game... It was the worse loss in this years playoffs including the play-in games the 1 seed vs 8 seed.... Running time in a semifinal game. Congrats to TRF......but i have a question for others that have seen TRF play more than I have was this just a regular performance and EGF just played that badly? Or has TRF elevated their game by this much???

After a win like that it made the drive home much more enjoyable. EGF did not win any sportsmanship awards after tonights showing. The one that capped it off was after the whistle blew for another EGF penalty, one of the seniors took a cheap shot crosscheck and leveled a TRF player.

TRF continues to baffle its fans. Lets just hope the team that came to play tonight shows up against Warroad. TRF absoleutly dominated the game. The 2nd period was an absolute barage of powerful forecheck and suffocating defense. TRF put the game away with 4 goals in the period setting the stage for running time.

Congrats to TRF, you played a great game

I also have to congratulate the trf coaching staff... you did a lot right in getting your team this far but even more than that, all the cheap stuff EGF was throwing at the trf team they did a great job of keeping their composure... and it paid off i bet they had a combined 8 minutes of 5-3 and ultimatley put the game into running time

As I said earlier in this thread, both teams were inconsistent this year, but the prowlers got it done this time.

Too bad EGF lost it's cool. The new coach needs to work on that.

Hopefully it will be a great game for the championship.

Wow- sounds like #6 DL ( one of the quote "peasant" teams of 8)gave 'em a much better battle than the Section 8 "elite" #2 seed. Go get Warroad again TRF!

I would also like to thank the eastsiders for a tremoundous show of class last night. oops.coaching staff needs to look in the mirror on that one.Scanlon was in the crowd what could he have thought.CLASSLESS!!!!!

Last night Thief came to play, and Eastside lost there composure, their heads, and I think alot of respect from section 8 when it comes to sportsmanship. They were running around trying to cheap shot any TRF player they could catch up to last night. In the end the team with more talent showed exactly that, they have more talent, and set the stage for one heck of a championship game on Thursday. Good Luck Thief River!!! Keep the goals coming!
