The 3M / Wild awards still show last year. I thought the Coaches Association site would have everything listed from yesterday but they don't and there were too many names and faces to keep track.
I'm going to ask our coach to find out if after the Ms. Hockey Banquet next year if a compiled list could be photo copied and handed out on exit so you can keep track of it all.

So Stillwater starts the season 0-3-1, giving a pretty good idea of what their talent level is. Their only true offensive star is a sophomore. Then they get better and better and by Christmas they play EP at the Kaposia and take them to overtime (IMHO Stillwater outplayed them but gave up a couple soft goals). Then they keep getting better the rest of the season and are the only team who takes care of business every single game through the section and state tournaments. How is that not a spectacular coaching job?
Stillwater
I agree coach Scheid did a great job there this season, and I can't explain why he didn't get the recognition.
I did see that EP vs Still game a little different. I thought it was pretty evenly played, and I think if you talked to the EP coaches they would say they were hurt by some soft goals as well.

Except it's not at all uncommon for the coach of a championship team to win the award. I think TS would have been a very deserving winner...if he had won. No complaints with the choice from me...but I'm not informed as per B'ville season, strength of schedule, results etc. I know I sure was impressed with that #17 whoever she is.22puck22 wrote:honestly i'd just be happy with winning state Bensonmum..Stillwater can't win EVERYTHING!

Agreed this has happened in the past, but the voting is done prior to the championship game. So if the winning coach wins they have won this award prior to taking the ice for the championship game.brookyone wrote:Except it's not at all uncommon for the coach of a championship team to win the award.
